1939 Plymouth Sedan - 4 door Up for auction is my 1939 Plymouth Sedan. I am the 3rd owner of this car and it has always stayed in the town in which i live in NC. This car is solid as a rock and has been stripped down to the bare metal and I can tell you that it has virtually no rust for a 73 year old car. All of the body panels are in tact and require little to no work prior to paint. The interior is original to the car and some of the gauges still work when hooked up to a 6-volt battery. The car cranks over just fine but the gas lines have rotted out so it hasnt been started in a few years. The engine and tranny are original to the car as well and so are the hub caps and original glass tail lights !! Even the horns still work!! Again this car will make a fantastic car in that all the panels, trim, chrome pieces, drive train are in tact. You can even stand on the running boards as they are solid as can be and will hold a grown man with no issues. The only issue currently with this car is that the drivers side rear brakes are locked up but it is the drum and not the rear end since it spins freely - but frankly brakes that old need to be redone entirely before using anyways just to be safe.On Jul-25-12 at 12:32:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Update - I do have both front and rear bumpers for this car. I took them off to see what it looked like withotu them and never put them back on the car. They will come with the car.
