This is a beautiful well sorted, garaged kept 1968 Austin Healey Sprite. I have owned and enjoyed this car for almost three years. This Sprite has the Rivergate 5 Speed Manual Transmission installed by the previous owner and works great. It really makes the car a joy to drive. The Sprite is a beautiful shade of red as the pictures show. The body is sound with no rust issues. The interior is in good condition. The top, top cover, tonneau cover are in great shape! The wheels are aftermarket and the tires are in great shape as well with lots of tread. The car really looks good with the added luggage rack and the fender rearview mirrors that I have added since owning the car. All lights, turn signals, horn, etc. are in working order as well as the heater and fan. One small issue I have not had the chance to address is the drivers side window tends to stick a bit when rolling the window up. It will roll up with some effort and I am sure is an easy fix. The 1275cc engine runs great and has excellent oil pressure. Recent engine work since my ownership include: Replaced Crankshaft, New Bearings, Thrust Washers, New Oil Pump, Timing Chain, Electric Auxilary Fan, Coolant Recovery System, Fuel Pump. The SU Carbs were overhauled about 2 years ago and still work great. I had the car converted to electronic ignition and had a new coil installed. The car also has a new Clutch Master and Brake Master Cylinder installed. I have available receipts and paperwork for all of the work I had done on the car by a mechanic who specializes in vintage British automobiles as well as the documentation from the previous owner on the 5 Speed Rivergate Transmission. Due to a broken odometer, the previous owner listed the mileage at 60,000. The odometer was replaced just before I purchased the car and was reading 46,270 miles. I have put and additional 4,586 miles on the car since owning it, so I have listed the mileage at 64, 586. I feel the following pictures show true pride of ownership and I am sure the new owner will be very happy with the car. I will miss owning it but I need the garage space for a new purchase I will be making. I have a brand new car cover I will include in the sale.
