This Mercedes-Benz W108 vehicle was built in Stuttgart, West Germany during the last year of its production in 1972. It is the truly last hand-built S-Class Mercedes vehicle ever made. Its 108-chassis is made with efficiency from inception to the final touches. This 108 chassis vehicle was also the last to have the stacked head lamps, curvy hoodlines and very large front grill to give it the authentic and infamous "Mercedes look". Worldwide, one can easily distinguish this automobile from all others as being a high class automobile worthy of the Mercedes-Benz name. The "SE" in 280SE stands for Saloon Einspritz which is the only automobile in the series that is fuel injected. The suspension consists of coil springs on all 4 wheels and an anti-roll bar to give it smooth handling and a comfortable ride.
