Vehicle Detail
This car was once in great condition, but has been mostly unused for the past 12 years. It runs good, battery is good, etc. However, it will need a mechanic to do minor repairs before it is ready for a long trip. It needs new tires, and replace a light in the dashboard RPM gauge. In 1992, minor modifications were made including: tuned suspension (from Motorsport), which lowered it 1 inch, tuned exhaust, largemouth throttle body, oil cooler, dashboard cover (to cover cracks), new carpet, new clock (runs on AA battery, from Motorsport). At the time, a very good paint job: 1992 Acura Cobalt Blue Pearl (B-54P clearcoat). It still looks good, but has some minor issues, as shown in the photos. A couple years later, I had a rebuilt 5-speed transmission installed (with new clutch). Air condition did work. However, now the compressor has seized. Water leaks from the windshield-wiper cowl where two very tiny drain holes are clogged. The water runs down the firewall to the inside, when there is significant rain. See this link for the common problem: http://datsunzgarage.com/probs/index.htm. See the photos of the passenger floor, which reveal rust and holes. On Jul-12-12 at 13:48:59 PDT, seller added the following information: This car was once in great condition, but has been mostly unused for the past 12 years. I have more photos, including the title. Let me know if you want to see or know more.On Jul-14-12 at 15:06:33 PDT, seller added the following information: After an hour playing with the car, it seems that everything but the A/C still works. That includes the retractable antenna, rear window defrost, wiper squirter, etc. Even the buzzer that reminds you that your key is in the ignition works. I believe this is a very good value for the price. I’ll donate it to the Kidney Foundation before I’ll accept less than the reservation value. I’ll be happy to provide more information. Just ask.
