Vehicle Detail

1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am You are bidding on an all original matching numbers 400 (6.6L) V8 survivor with 53,756 actual miles on it. Car is bondo and rust free. This was my dream car at one time, so I have spared no expense on this car. Unfortunately, I have other responsibilities to take care of, so somebody is going to get a great deal. I am the third owner of this car, The original owner passed away leaving it to his son and the son was in the position where he needed the money and thats when I bought it from him. The 6.6L is all original, no smoke, no knocks, no unexpected problems, to sum it up, pump the gas it starts right up and is very srong.Has a new battery, new altenator, and new radiator. A/C is complete blows but needs a recharge, I ride with the windows down and dont take the car out much especially in extreme conditions so never had the need to get it recharged.Other than that everything is good to the best of my knowledge and the 350 Tranny shifts nice and firm with no issues. The exterior used to be black, everywhere I went all I saw was black (plus I got tired of being called Bandit) so the car was painted Martinique Blue, an original Pontiac color for 1978. The car was sanded down and two rear quarter panel patch panels were installed. All panels were taken off car POR15 on the back sides to prevent any rust in the future and new OEM bolts, nuts, clips, and bulbs were replaced. Car was then epoxy primered, Squeeg's Kustoms primed, sealed, and then painted. No steps were skipped, did I do it myself you ask ? Of course not remember, this was my drem car everything was taken care of professionaly. The car had all of the work done at Bill's Auto paint. Yes I have pictures and receipts. After this extremely nice paint job, new OEM decals and OEM emblems were reinstalled. Making this car a real head turner. Now for the interior it was outdated and i just couldnt have that. New door panels, new headliner, new seat covers, new seat backs, new carpet, new kick panels and a new dash pad cap, was for starters. Followed by POR 15 on the floor and inside the doors to solve any chance of rust in the future. Followed by Dynamatt for noise and heat from underneath. No junk was left in the car. Any good panels were redyed factory color, You ask did I do that? of course not G&J Auto trim did my interior. All rubber has been replaced. Trunk is solid with oridinal spare and air tube. Undercarriage is solid it has been Por15 and rubber undercoated. Wheels are snowflake 17x9 special edition Year One with new OEM caps and emblems. Tires are a low profile Firestone , I think i have put maybe 100 miles on the tires. This car has been in the garage under a car cover. Its not a "Trailer Queen" I do drive it, not much, it has been in car shows it does have flaws. I know the car needs a horn relay, A/C charged, tach cable, the glass has some scratches, I was told could be buffed, where the felt of the roller inside the door came off and it scratched the glass pretty good. The chrome trim around the windows has some scratches, I was gonna take out factory stereo and put in CD, decided not to need factory radio hooked back up. Other than that I think everything else is good. This car has no warranty and is sold as is, with that being said I encourage anybody interested to came and check it out, you will be sold. Comes with original build sheet !!! $500.00 non refundable deposit is due at end of auction. Payment method is Bank wire transfers or cashiers check, but must clear my bank first. Shipping or pickup is buyer responsibility, I will help as much as possible. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please only bid on this auction if you are serious about owning this vehicle. If you are not sure about something please ask.
