The Zimmer Golden Spirit was the flagship of the Zimmer Motorcars Corporation with more than 1,500 produced during its production run from 1978 to 1988 in Pompano Beach, FL. The production number is 1101. It has 11,662 original miles on it and is a 2nd owner vehicle, purchased in March of 2000. The exterior is beige. It is equipped with twin headlamps, 4 trumpet horns, etched wind deflectors, Zimmer wire wheels , tan padded trunk, teak running boards, tan padded opera top, and a gold plated eagle hood ornament. The interior is saddle with leather Recaro seats, opera lights and opera glass, Blaupunkt am/fm stereo/ cassette, and beautiful interior accents including lead crystal vases. Underneath it all is a 1986 Ford Mustang GT, which makes the car very easy to work on or it can be serviced by any local Ford Dealer. It is powered by a 5.0 liter H.O. V8 engine, AOD automatic trans, and the factory 3.27 gears have been swapped out with a set of 4.10 gears. The gear swap gives the car more "get up and go".
