OK, I'm not sinking any more money into this project. I've spent over $7500.00 already and only want about half of it back. The car has new items listed below unless noted as rebuilt or refurbished in 2007: 195/65R15 Warrior tires muffler ram extensions carburator kit clutch molding kit headliner running boards battery tail lights turn signals voltage regulator refurbished gas tank paint rebuilt generator all glass is good except windshield has clouding (picture) brakes and shocks starter rubber kit doghouse (housing around engine) full dash cover spark plugs, distributor cap and v-belts Empi mini spyder side mirrors door panels carpet set Detroit steering wheel with adapter upholstery The odometer is not working. I have no idea as to the correct mileage. I have tried to show and give an accurate description of this 37 year old classic Volkswagen. However, a car this old may have unknown issues which will become the new owners responsibility. I drive this car regularly but need the money to finish a Volkswagen convertible. This car only needs some minor issues addressed. I'm just too busy with the other car to mess with it. The engine runs great, it shifts smoothly and it runs true on the road. There are seatbelts, but they are not installed. The sunroof needs attention since it won't close all the way. The body is straight and the paint is a 5 footer, meaning it looks great at 5 feet, but it does have some areas that are not perfect. All this work was done in 2007 and it has been in storage since that time, driving it occasionally.
