I purchased this Ranchero a couple of years ago from California. I was going to drive it as I restored it, but have moved to another state and can't work on it. It runs and drives. I have used it as a driver and utility vehicle and have driven it all over. I would drive it just about anywhere. It is very reliable and gets about 26 miles per gallon. It will cruise at highway speeds although I don't push it. It had a floor shift when I purchased it and I have converted it back to a column shift. I still have the floor shifter and associated shifting rods if you would like to convert it back. I wanted it original. The seats have been recovered at some point in its life and the covering needs replacing. On the drivers side where the cover is torn from age you can see the original seat covers underneath (blue). They appear to be in good shape, although now are 47 years old. The body is solid with minimal dings. There is some rust along the drivers side roof drip rail, but otherwise is very solid. The bed is in good shape. The tailgate works good. The engine runs strong and does what it is supposed to do. When I bought the car the former owner had just tuned it up, and put in a new carb and clutch. I don't think he replaced the throw-out bearing, as occasionally I get a little noise from it, especially when it has been sitting in storage for awhile. The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down fine. I hate to get rid of it, but it is doing me no good sitting in a garage several states away from where I am currently living. Restore it, drive it and enjoy it as I have. All the signals and lights work.
