1974 BMW Bavaria 3.0S Automatic This is a rare opportunity to own what is considered the forerunner of the BMW sports sedan (5 and 7 series). This is the car that put BMW on the map in the sports sedan market. When it came out it was considered technologically advanced and ahead of it's time. In fact the engine was so advanced, BMW had to make only minor changes all the way to the 90's. This is also a rare find, because: this BMW has had only one owner, it is a Georgia car so the rust is minimal, It has matching numbers (Manufacturer's Id# 3180731). Everything is original, exterior, interior, the paint (Sahara beige), the keys, and I have the original Georgia title in hand. The only upgrade is the transmission and it was replaced with the bulletproof transmission from a 7 series BMW. This car was fully loaded from the dealer with the same 3L engine that came in the BMW Cs and Csi, four wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, power windows, leather interior, ac, electric sunroof, and power steering. I'm going to describe the condition as accurately as possible, and have included pictures to show the condition of the car. The car runs and drives, in fact it is a pleasure to drive. The engine is powerful and smooth, the transmission shifts very smoothly, the car starts right up and drives. The brakes work very well. The car is very stable and a great ride overall. The body is straight with only minor dents and scratches. There is no rust on the undercarriage, on the shock towers or in the floor pan. The car is in need of some restoration. The leather interior needs to be redone, the power windows work intermittently, the sunroof gasket needs to be changed. The trunk gasket needs to be changed also. On the exterior there is some rust. The worst of it is at the bottom of the door jambs. There is also rust on the trim that wraps around the car in some sections as shown in the pictures. The rest of the rust on the car is only surface rust, like on the hood inside and out and several other areas on the car as shown in the pictures.
