1955 Pontiac Safari wagon that was recently found in the Arizona desert. This car spent most of its life in Southern California before making its was to Arizona. There are a stack of California registrations from the 60s in the glovebox. The neat thing about this car is that not only is it a limited production car, but this one also has factory air conditioning which makes it really rare. Also most if not all of the factory air components are intact. The only part that I can determine is missing is the original air cleaner. It still wears its original paint so what you see is what you get. No smoke and mirrors. It also has power steering, power brakes and factory leather interior. The body is pretty nice. The worst parts are the floor area in the back where the spare tire goes, the inside of the tailgate, and there are several rust areas in the roof area, I am guessing from being close to the ocean for so many years. It does have its original engine and I have not tried to start it, but it is free and turns over by hand. This is a chance to buy an original unmolested Safari wagon to restore and when done will be much cooler than a Nomad.
