Vehicle Detail
This is a project I bought on eBay a couple of years ago, and have not had time or energyto finish (the old, old story huh?) It's basically just like it was when I got it. Please read the following carefully, as I don't want any surprises on anyone's part. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. 32 Ford 5-window coupe. Fiberglass body appears to be a well-made body, as it has an aluminum liner and metal gussets everywhere. I don't know who made it. It has some minor cracks here and there and obviously needs to be finished. Mounted to a late model GM frame. Titled as a 72 Chevy (signed and notarized Indiana title) Frame looks sound, with no rust I can see. Front disc brakes. Appears to have the Chevy rear axle & driveshaft. I don't know the gearing. Has a good big set of ladder bars on the axle. Small-block Chevy engine...I don't know the CID. Automatic transmission. Goodyear tires look brand new. Cragar wheels. Has a new pair of tail lights. The doors are fiberglass and are not mounted. I stuck one in place just for picture purposes. I have the inner and outer doors, and a complete set of extremely heavy 32 door hinges, for which I paid over $900.00. I don't have any other hardware for the doors.. Everything goes with the car. Grill shell is genuine Ford, and is just cable-tied to the front. No front glass in the car, but I checked with a local glass shop and they can easily make one. Seat is not bolted down. Chevy gas tank is behind the seat, but the filler tube is not hooked up to it. The gas line is hooked up and works. I run the car off a jug because of the difficulty in getting fuel into the gas tank. Holley 750 carb on the engine. The headers are patched-up junk, but seem to work ok & are not as loud as you would think. Ladder bars are not hooked up on the front. I do have the brackets to do so however. I don't know if the holes have been drilled. Front & rear lights are not wired. The car cranks and runs up and down the road ok. It drives good, stops good. Brakes work good. Power steering works good. Transmission seems to shift ok, but sometimes its a little slow to engage at first. May be low on fluid. Car seems to run cool with no overheating, but I have not driven it except just around the neighborhood. Alternator works. The reserve is very low. I've seen these body shells alone go for over $5k. The car probably has $1500. worth of wheels & tires. Please understand that this is a project. I think it can be a decent hot rod, but it has a long way to go. Please do not have unrealistic expectations. If you bid, I expect you to honor your bid. Any bidder is welcome and encouraged to come and see the car in person, or send a representative to do so. The car is sold as-is, where-is, with no guarantees of any sort. This includes any parts that may or may not be needed, the functioning, failure, or safety of any component, and any paperwork or title issues your state may have. In short, I do not guarantee that you can get parts for, finish, use, or title this vehicle. Please understand this BEFORE bidding. There is a $250.00 PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the sale. The balance is due within 7 days and mst be cash or bank to bank transfer. I will accept no checks in any form, unless you want to wait 14 days for it to clear. The car can sit here for up to 45 days after payment in full. I do have a good place here for a transporter to load.On Jun-20-12 at 17:38:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks; please contact me first or your bid will be cancelled.
