You are looking at a extemely original 1976 Pontiac Trans Am, with just over 53,000 miles. This car has spent its whole life in the Denver, Colorado area, and is very apparent by its beautiful rust free body and undercarriage. It is a documented 455, 4 speed car with factory air conditioning. Not only was it born with all of the good drivetrain options, the amazing part is that they are all still intact. Yes, it survived the seventies and the eighties when most of these cars got hacked up and a lot of aftermarket crap got thrown on them. This car is pretty much a virgin. The engine compartment is still bone stock, and the transmission, shifter and rear end are all the original born with components. This car, like I said has a beautiful body and undercarriage, unfortunately the paint is 36 years old and is getting tired. It still wears its original firethorn red GM paint job and what you see is what you get, no goofey body work or repairs, this car is about as pure as one can get. The trunk is also untouched and still has the original compact spare tire and wheel. Mechanically the car starts, runs, drives and stops just like you would expect a 53,000 mile car to perform. The original shifter floats through the gears and the massive 455 just purrs down the road. All of the original honeycomb wheels are in very nice shape and the interior is near mint. This car had to have been kept inside, because all of the gauges, steering wheel, dash etc., pretty much looks brand new. I have some pretty nice factory documentation on the car including what appears to be the dealer copy of the shipper invoice showing the VIN and all of the factory installed options, the odometer statement when the car was sold new, and the new vehicle inspection sheet. This car is a great find with great options. Very hard to come by with the big block, 4 speed and factory a/c. Of the 46,701 Trans Am's produced in 1976, only fifteen percent were ordered with the optional 455HO motor, the final year of the legendary Pontiac engine.
