Vehicle Detail
This is a three owner M3 purchased in Kansas City and driven by the first two owners to 90,000 miles when I purchased the car. Both previous owners were adults and I am 65 so we treated this car well over the years. Other than wheels (original spare still with car), the car is bone stock, well maintained and runs well. The only defects are one nickle size ding in a fender and a small dent on top of the hood. The ding is too small for me to photograph properly but I did capture the hood dent in one of the pictures. There is no body rust and what little chrome there is is in good condition. Muffler tips have a little corrosion. The only other things that could stand attention are door seals, one side panel on the drivers seat and finding and fixing an air conditioner leak. For whatever reason, both door seals shrunk and I had to cut a small gap to allow them to fit properly. There are no rain leaks but these seals should be replaced. The driver side seat panel is easily fixed by an automotive upholsterer (a very common wear area especially for leather interior). We had a BMW mechanic find the air conditioner leak but didn't fix it due to storing the car. The engine and transmission are original and never rebuilt. The transmission did get a shift rod seal many years ago. As you can see from the pictures, this car is in great shape, especially for its age. It was always appreciated for its original performance and never modified. I trust it to be reliable even on long trips and was our daily driver until 2004 when we purchased another sports car. The M3 was properly put up in storage until it was time sell. The engine cranked three or four times and started up right away, smoke free. This is a very fine example of an unmolested, limited production collectible. You won't be disappointed. You are welcome to come pick up the vehicle at my home address but if any other transportation requirements are necessary, it will be the responsibility of purchaser to organize and pay for all of these services and to notify me of them in advance.
