Hello, I have a 1962 Mercury Comet Custom 4 door coupe for sale today. The Comet has a 170 CI inline six cylinder engine topped with a Holley single barrell carbuerator. The Comet is mostly all original, only real changes are the paint and interior. The car came from the factory in all white with the standard black interior. A previous owner had painted it red and white two tone and did the interior to match. The interior is in great shape, the seats are red and white two tone leather, the carpets are brown but in good condition. Please see below for a complete list of the car. I am open to trades, would like to come across a pre 1948 pickup or a pre war era sedan. I am open to offers, please do not feel hestitant about asking. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: 170 CI inline 6 cylinder Rebuilt 47,000 miles ago New Head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket and valve cover gasket. Single barrell Holley Carbuerator Does not leak any oil Has 137,xxx on the odometer Fresh oil change Brand new exhaust system from manifold flange to muffler on back New Mechanical Fuel Pump New Valve Cover with "Powered by FORD" impressed in it. 3 speed manual transmission "3 on the Tree", Column shift Clutch in working condition BODY & PAINT: Paint is red and white two tone. Originally all white. Paint has chips and blemishes. Fresh wax Paint is not faided at all All original trim, not pitted - The front has to emblems on the fender that are slightly pitted) Chrome aftermarket fender skirts Original 13"wheels and hubcaps all doors open and close smoothly windshield has been replaced but all other glass is original, looks excellent. Tags are from 1961. (It is tagged legally as well) Body is in good condition. One hole in floor pan of front right floorboard. Small rust cells around rear fender wells. One dent on roof of coupe. Straight body, does not appear to ever been wrecked INTERIOR: Rear window cranks need work. Interior is in great condition. Red and White leather seats Brown floor carpets Has the original AM radio in dash Dash is in pretty fair condition, no rips in leather All guages work All lights work inside, turn indicators, highbeam indicator, dash, overhead all work Seatbelts on all seats. NEW PARTS: 2 New Rear Tires. Exhaust front to rear. Exhaust manifold gasket Head gasket Mechanical Fuel Pump and filter All new Shocks Front Coil Springs Wiper Blades Air Filter All bulbs and headlights Soon to be sending unit There are more parts still on order that will be getting installed as they arrive. This car runs excellent, is strong and gets a lot of looks. I love to ride in this car, it feels so smooth compared to most newer vehicles.
