Vehicle Detail
1977 TOYOTA CELICA GT Car has been acquired and stored for about three years in garage. Has a newer paint job. Body is clean and rust free. The only rust on this vehicle is a little rust by the battery in the engine compartment, a small amount of surface rust on the drivers side floorboard by the gas pedal and underneath the hatchback as seen in picture. All body parts and decals are present except one of the chrome circles around one of the headlights and a chrome strip is missing on the lower portion of the drivers door. One of the hood mounts is bent and will need be be fixed or replaced. The hood is not attached. The undercarriage is in good shape. This car was from Texas. I acquired this car with the intention of fixing it up but never got around to it. I only drove it a few miles and it ran fine. I changed the oil and have ran the engine a few hours over the years and it seems to run great. It sounds good and runs smooth. It is a original 20R stock engine. It has new wires and a updated inline electric fuel pump. It does not leak any engine oil. I changed the transmission oil and installed a new filter but did not correctly install the gasket so the fluid leaked out after awhile. The transmission worked fine when I drove the car.Two of the tires hold air but all are dry rotted and will need to be replaced. It has original rims and beauty rings. The brakes on both front are still okay and on the rear on of the back bleeders is broke. They worked fine when I drove it but need to be bleed and it wound not be a bad idea to throw some new pads and shoes on. The interior needs to be restored. The seats do have some small rips. The carpet is gone and the upper dash is cracked. The center console is also in bad shape but does have most all parts. See pictures for condition. All the heater - defroster controls work and the heater also works. This car is equipped with AC but does not work. The compressor and all parts are present. All the gauges, wipers switches work except the Tach which is probably just a loose wire. The ignition switch doesn't turn all the way so a pushbutton starter switch has been installed. This car is available for local pickup. If you bid and win this auction you a welcome to come and view and fully check out the car before purchase and will be sold at the price you bid.If you would like it shipped to you I can work that out but you will responsible for all shipping costs incurred. If it is shipped you are welcome to send a third party to check out the vehicle before purchase otherwise the vehicle is sold as-is. I have tried to describe the vehicle the best I can, If you any any questions feel free to ask. This is a rare Midwest Vehicle and would not take much to get it roadworthy.
