Vehicle Detail
I am offering my 1988 Buick Reatta for auction. I purchased this unique vehicle from the showroom floor of the Buick dealership in Milledgeville, Georgia on June 8, 1988. The window sticker is $25,500.00. This Reatta is an non-smoking, one-owner vehicle. I am approaching 70 years of age and I am the only person to have ever driven this vehicle. The vehicle has been meticulously maintained throughout the years. I have every receipt for any maintenance performed. Yes, 194K miles is a lot of miles. However, the engine has never been touched and runs like a new machine. I would drive this car to California today without hesitation. It does not smoke, use oil and runs today as it did in June, 1988. The interior is immaculate (please review photographs closely) The exterior has no dents, all glass is like new; no pitting, dings or cracks. Obviously, like most all Reattas, the clear coat is peeling and a paint job is in order. GM has always regretted applying the clear coat to this project. The A/C has been converted to R-134, new compressor, evaporator, 0-rings, etc. at 194000 miles. At 194764, new Sears Die Hard Gold battery. New Michelin Assurance radials at 194185 as well as new Sensa Trac struts, boots and rear shocks. Recently replaced rear speakers with new Boston 5-1/4 " models with new amplifier and Kortec Tweeter. All electronics work perfectly, headlights work perfectly....always have. I purchased another '88 Reatta several years ago with an engine problem and a rebuilt replacement engine came with it. I didn't use the replacement and it comes with this auction...($2,200 value). The only "con" is the driver's seat doesn't move up and down as it should. I have a replacement switch to be installed by the purchaser. NOTE: I know that 194000 miles is an immediate turn-off for most folks. But, this is not a parts car. My name is Jim. Please feel free to call me at anytime: (478-755-1943) or email me @ Snoopy1333@cox.net. I am in Macon, Georgia and I can recommend an excellent husband-wife team for shipping. Thank You! P.S...Check out the nice floor mats you don't find very often.
