For Sale: A 1966 Ford F250 Camper Special This is a V-8 / Automatic Truck Manual steering & manual brakes All gauges, choke, heating and blower motor work The truck was born & raised in sunny San Jose California The body as you can see is as rust free as it can be - even after 46 years in the elements The truck has the following new or upgraded features New tiresNew brake drums & drum brake pads at all (4) four cornersNew master cylinder New alternatorNew carburetor rebuild Tune-up This truck is not restored - it has all the characteristics of an honest old vehicle. The paint is original and in some places thread bare, has connection points from past camper anchoring, a few small dents on the hood, the dash pad is cracked and the windshield has (1) one star The manual steering coupler / rag joint needs replaced sometime in the future If you were looking for an old truck with beautiful, approachable "patina' then this is the truck for you. The truck was used for hauling a bed mounted camper which has since been long forgotten. The reserve fuel tank is a factory installed items as is the side-saddle tool box on the passenger side. The factory anchors are present on the side of the bed rails as are some anchoring positions on each side if the cowl where possibly the front portion of a cab-over compartment to the camper was fastened - these are simply screw holes (2) per side - one being patched and riveted into place - actually only adds to the charm
