Up for bids is my 31 Model A roadster pickup. It has a clean title and registered as a two door so there are no weight fees or commercial taxes. It looks like it was pulled out of a barn from the fifties and everyone stares at it when its driving by. People think it’s a late thirties style hot rod. I have been driving all over town and it runs and drives very well. It started life out as a four door sedan. In the fifties the roof was cut off and it was used as a farm truck to carry irrigation pipes. After it stopped running it was parked in a field for years. I got it in pieces and made the truck cab. It is slightly longer than a stock Model A truck so there is a little more room. The bed is from a 26 Model T roadster pickup which is slightly longer but the wheel wells worked out perfectly with the A rear fenders. The headlights look brand new but they are originals. The windshield posts were modified to look almost exactly like a real roadster and roadster stantions were used. I got a stock 31 Model A frame and set the body on it. It has the 200cu banger which has been rebuilt and runs very well. I put a downdraft ansen two barrel intake on it and a Holley 94. I also got a centrifugal advance distributor which made it very easy to drive. I converted it to 12v so I can run an electric fuel pump and am using a newer gas tank under the bed. All the brakes are rebuilt and it stops great. Even with the mechanical brakes it will stop very fast and straight. The transmission shifts smoothly and there are no noises from the rear end. Everything on this car has been gone through and is in perfect working order.
