Up for sale is a 1979 Mazda RX-7. This is the first year of these cars, I've seen them sell on E-bay between $5,000 to $6,000 when restored. The odometer shows 16104 but I would assume it is 116104. I have only driven it around my yard as the brake booster has a small hole in it, the manual brakes work fine. The car has four new tires, new battery, new points, air filter, distributor cap, rotor button, and plugs. The carburetor has recently been completely rebuilt and since the car was parked for 7 years, the fuel tank needed to removed and cleaned. The photos were taken while I was reinstalling the fuel tank after cleaning. The interior is very clean for a car of this age and appears to have been redone at some point in time. There is a spare tire in the car and by the looks of it, it's probably original. The car needs at least a brake booster cylinder and some fine tuning on the carburetor or fine adjustment on the points, neither of which I'm good at. The clutch feels strong but my limited driving of the car only offers my opinion. The body has some surface rust, as you can see in the photos. With minimal body work and a paint job, you'll have an immediate classic. The car has a current tag and insurance as a vintage vehicle. I obtained the car from a guy who didn't know what he had and wanted to convert it to a racing car. Luckily I got it before he could do any damage, it's all still original. The air conditioner looks factory and has a label of being upgraded to R-134A. Please look at the pictures and ask questions, this is a 33 year old car, it hasn't been fully restored, and I request you perform due diligence in requesting information from me before messing up my E-bay rating. I have a video of the car running so you can see how smoothly it runs. The car hasn't been on its on tires on the street in over 7 years.
