Bid With Confidence 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!! COMPANY IS USA VETERAN OWNED DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: 1978 TRANS AM with a nearly new motor and transmission as well as great tires. I know a lot of people are no longer very honest about used cars so if you can't handle the truth stop reading now. Seriously speaking, the fact of the matter is I simply would never risk my outstanding feedback record or my reputation to make a few bucks. So please read on as I do my level best to give you an accurate and fair description of this vehicle as it sits. FYI...I don't think the mileage is actual... I am selling this car for my son. He has recently finished his college football playing career in Kansas and is now on his way back to Texas to further his coaching career as well as teaching. So to be clear, this car is sitting in Kansas in a town about 30 min. north of Wichita. I personally live in Ohio and am helping my son with this listing and to get the car sold. The car and all necessary documents are to hand over to the winner of this auction with no problem upon full payment. The winner of this auction is responsible for picking up the car or arranging for transportation. It is in outstanding running condition and there will be absolutely no problems getting it loaded onto a truck or driving it out. My son’s cell phone number, should you have any questions, is 972 322 3939. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call. I am absolutely certain that he will be able to answer your questions. Alright now that you know all of the details as it pertains to this vehicles listing and delivery we can talk about the car. I originally purchased this car for my son as a gift for doing a great job on his grades. I think he has had it for going on three years now. He does have another vehicle so the claims I am making about the recently built motor and transmission are accurate. He doesn't drive this car very much and has hardly driven it at all since having the work done to it. ENGINE Approximately 5000 miles ago the engine began making noises that made it clear that it needed to be completely rebuilt. Just so you're aware the heads on this unit were completely redone at the time of the engine rebuild, as well. I do not know if the engine is the original engine for the vehicle or not. I apologize for sounding somewhat ignorant about the details of the vehicle but again from Ohio I am not there to oversee everything as I build this listing for my son. There are some things that he just can't ascertain on his own without doing a large amount research on serial numbers etc. So we are going to say that this engine is most likely not the original engine but in fact I do not know for sure if it is or not. The engine was rebuilt approximately 5000 miles ago. My feedback and my integrity should speak for itself but I will be glad to give you written documentation or a guarantee of some sort that states that this is a freshly rebuilt motor and all of the information in this ad is correct. Additionally, when you show up to pick up this car and you start it and hear it run you will know that these claims are true and feel comfortable with what you hear and see. He lives in a dusty dirty part of Kansas and it has not been garage kept and the engine compartment has not been sprayed down with anything to make it look shiny or misrepresented in any way. It simply is what it is, very well rebuilt and recently rebuilt. TRANSMISSION The transmission was purchased from a Florida race transmission shop and installed locally. Very shortly after my son had this transmission installed, right after the first of this year, he received his income tax refund and decided that he wanted something more suitable for Kansas winter driving conditions and purchased a nice four-wheel drive pickup. So shortly after that, this vehicle was been parked and only moved around once in a great while. EXHAUST I believe the exhaust is flow master but I'm not positive. It does have a nice dual exhaust that is in very good condition. The reason I believe it to be flow master is because the gentleman I bought the car from had told me they were flow master and if you've ever heard that sound you know what they sound like. So I think they are but no guarantee other than it is a good sounding exhaust system. TIRES Similar to the transmission, my son had recently replaced the tires prior to ceasing to use the vehicle on a regular basis. He does, from the looks of one of the white walls, tend to scrape the curb a little bit when he parks but if you look closely at the tread of these tires it will be very evident to you and any other potential buyer that the tread is probably in the 90% range. Again, we aren’t foolish people, I know that if you show up and this car isn't what we've told you it is you'll be very angry and we will not have a deal. So it is what it is BODY As you can see in the pictures this car has some rust and does need bodywork. Its condition is such that it wouldn’t be embarrassing to drive on a daily basis but it is by no means a new or recent paint job. If you hope to keep this car long-term you probably would want to have some work done to the spots where rust is showing through or that are small holes and probably want to put a nice paint job on it. I've been told that the hood could stand to be replaced but I haven't personally examined it so I really don't know anything other than the hood appears to be in rough condition but does open and close as it should. Please let the pictures speak for themselves and if there is anything that is not clear in the pictures let me know. If you do not ask questions I cannot answer them. So please make sure you are educated and comfortable with what you're looking at before you bid. INTERIOR When it comes to the interior what you see is what you get. I do not have a tremendous amount of comments to make as most of the pictures of the interior speak for themselves. The seats are in pretty good condition. The door panels are not in horrible condition but need reattached or possibly you would want to replace, purely a matter of personal preference. The dash has cracks as you would expect from a car of this age. UNDER HOOD Other things under the hood that bear mentioning would include the fact that all new hoses and minor accessories were replaced when the rebuild was done and the alternator is also practically new as you can see in the pictures. BRAKES The brakes were recently redone all the way around the vehicle so you will find those in very good repair as well. Again this is a great running daily driver car or a wonderful restoration project. SUMMARY Well that is about all I can think tell you at this point. This car runs great. After sitting for 3 months with no battery in it, my son went to move it one day and put a battery in it, and it started right up. If you have any questions please call or please e-mail. Based on the minimum bid that is being asked for this vehicle, the winning bidder is going to get a wonderful deal. The winner of this auction will have a great vehicle to restore back to original condition, they can do a great street rod, or use as is for as a daily driver. I mean think about it. How often do you find a decent used car with good brakes and everything in fairly good condition all the way around including a recently replaced motor and transmission, let alone the fact that this is a wonderful wonderful classic car? So all you have to do is bid and let us know whether you want to come get it or if you want to have a truck pick it up, and we will work with your shipper to ensure it gets loaded and on the way. TERMS The terms of the sale are very simple. We require a $500 deposit via PayPal at the end of the auction within 24 hours. If you will communicate with us before hand and we are able to determine for sure that you are a sincere legitimate buyer we will accept the $500 deposit within 48 hours via bank cashier’s check or postal money order. If you hope to do this we require that you communicate with us in advance. The balance is due within five days of the end of the auction. You can again use the previously mentioned methods for paying the balance or to pick it up within five days of the sale and you can pay the balance upon pickup. And of course once you've paid the balance if you arrive and find the vehicle to be in any condition other than how we stated it to be you will not be obligated to see the transaction through and your money can be refunded. This last sentence should not have to be spoken so I apologize that you even have to read it. I must let everyone considering bidding know that if you do not have an established eBay feedback record; we will cancel your bid. If I see bids from someone who has absolutely no record of bidding on eBay I will cancel your bid, IF you do not communicate with us. If you have a record of poor feedback I will cancel your bid. If your account has been inactive for a long period of time please contact me and let me know for sure that this is a sincere bid as many people have their inactive accounts taken over by insincere bidders. We want to protect you the legitimate bidder with these policies and make sure that you do not bid against other people who have no intentions of doing anything except messing with the auction and making the prices go higher than they should. If you are not an established bidder and we have any reason to believe that your bid may not be sincere please just pick up the phone and contact us and let us know who you are and that you are sincere and for real and we will be ever so gracious and grateful to work with you and accept your bids. Again, very sorry for having to even mention this. But the fact of the matter is that probably one out of every three vehicles I have sold have had some type of inappropriate and insincere bids. So again we are trying to protect you the legitimate bidder and our own interests. Thank you so very much for taking your time to review this auction and this vehicle offering we hope you find it to your liking.
