Vehicle Detail
NO TITLE. The car is being sold on a BILL OF SALE ONLY! Please be very clear on this, EBAY requires that we enter a title type for vehicle sales and they do have a category for NO TITLE! Porsche 911 VIN 303239, Engine # 903379, Tranny # 226333 Manufactured on 12/22/1965 According to the COA from PORSCHE the vehicle is a "1965 911 Coupe" I am not interested in the debate about "is it a '65 or is it a '66" Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, (including you Chuck). For FIA 2.0 competition class, vehicles manufactured in calendar year 1965 are eligible. She was manufactured in 1965! For the "Model Year" enthusiast, they can and will likely consider this car to be a 1966. No worries, it is what it is and call her what you want. If you want to discuss or debate this topic, please contact the Porsche COA department in Atlanta, I am sure that they will indulge you. The engine, tranny, color (Polo Red) w/ Black interior, Wood Dash. Wood Steering Wheel etc. are correct and original to the car! See attached COA. Floor pan is original to the car. She has had some minor repairs underneath previously, but overall a solid chassis. The car was crashed years ago and then put into indoor storage. The chassis can be repaired by purchasing a suitable early 912 SWB donor (under $3500 on Samba!). Or, the parts from this car can be used to rebuild an early SWB 911 - your call! Please don't ask me how to repair her, what it will cost or what the best approach is...... I am not a "body repair expert" however, I do know that vehicles damaged far worse than this 911 have been repaired. She can be fixed.... The engine does run and it does not make any odd noises. No guarantees, books, documents, tools, jack, spare tire or receipts on the car at all, but the engine does run! I do have some of the parts needed to restore this car that I will discuss selling to the buyer AFTER the auction has been completed.... No tire kickers please. If you are serious about purchasing this car, call me at US 843 639 9393 8 AM - 9 PM est. Seller will assist in exporting the car if desired. Container shipping to europe should cost around $2500 US.
