Vehicle Detail

1988 Ford Bronco XLT 5.0 V8 *****24,741 Actual Miles!***** California Truck! 100% Original Paint and 100% Rust Free! Two Owners! The original owner’s neighbor recently purchased this truck and decided he really didn’t need another vehicle, and therefore put it up for sale. So basically it had the same owner from 1988 to late 2011. It drives like a truck with only 24k miles, tight and rattle free! All accessories work as they should and the AC is ICE COLD! The BF Goodrich Long Trail TAs have most of their tread remaining. When looking at a vehicle with such low miles it is important to verify the miles through a variety of ways. Of course the first thing to look at is the autocheck report. Next take a look at the original paint especially along the leading edges of the roof and hood. Here you want to see just how many rock chips there are and decide if they match up with the stated miles. This Bronco happens to have very few, if any rock chips. Over the years from waxing and driving, the paint has a few touch-ups, but they have nothing to due with mileage. Next you want to look at the interior and the brake and gas pedal to make sure there isn’t excessive wear, which there isn’t. Look at the original windshield and see how many rock chips are present. On this XLT there are very very few rock chips, something that is consistent with the stated miles. Lastly check out the undercarriage pictures. The main item that I want to point out is that this Bronco still retains its original Ford muffler and tailpipe. As engines run, the condensation of the exhaust gases rust out the pipe and muffler over time. Here the muffler looks in excellent shape. (see pics) Also look at the oil pan, it is painted gray from the factory. Again as the engine runs the heat builds up and as the miles roll on, the paint chips off the pan. On this truck the paint is still on the oil pan, something that is consistent with its low miles. So after you take all of this into consideration, you should feel very comfortable that you are bidding on a 24k actual mile Bronco! The original paint really does hold a shine extremely well, although white is sometimes very difficult to photograph, so at the end of the auction I included some pictures from inside my garage that helps to show off the shine a bit better. I welcome inspections and test drives, so please call me to set up an appointment. Please let all the pictures load, as I have included exterior, interior, undercarriage and engine pictures. 201-523-2201
