Absolutely Stunning Mustang GTA Convertible This is a fabulously restored, rust-free Arizona car. It was purchased new in Phoenix, Arizona. I purchased this car 22 years ago and restored it in 2008. Body: All the sheet metal, hood, fenders, doors, quarter panels and trunk are original to the car. All panels were removed, stripped to bare metal and straightened. The result is a near perfect, straight body. Paint is a very deep black and polished to perfection. Every piece of chrome has been re-chromed and all stainless pieces have been polished. Interior: A red deluxe interior was installed including seats and seat pads, door panels and carpet. I replaced all the weatherstripping. A new, perfectly executed convertible top with glass rear window, and top boot were installed. The power top works quietly and smoothly. Motor: The car has the original 289 V8 motor which was completely overhauled. It now has about 30,000 miles since the overhaul. The transmission was rebuilt approximately 10,000 miles ago. The car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power top and power antenna. I added a cruise control unit. The factory air conditioning has a fairly new Sanyo compressor, but I do have the original compressor.
