This is my 66 Mustang project that unfortunately must be sold. I have redone the undercarriage and the only spot of rust is under the drivers side door (not on the rocker panel). I have rebuilt the engine, put in all new or rebuilt steering and suspension, and replace all rusted through sheet metal. I am starting the bid low because it must sell. My loss is your gain. The new components can cost several times the opening bid price. So, if you want the new parts, everything has to go with it. Here is a rundown of what is for sale: Engine: Rebuilt 1986 5.0L HO fox body engine. This includes new main bearings, refinished front sump oil pan (from a 72 Mercury), new high capacity racing oil pump, Ford Racing E303 cam, new performance rods and hydraulic lifters, new Molybdenum rings, professionally rebuilt heads, new summit racing intake manifold, new mallory performance electronic ignition and distributor, new fuel pump eccentric, new timing chain, new water pump and cover, new performance fuel pump (mechanical), new 650 cfm electronically choked 4bbl summit racing carburator, new intake manifold, new summit racing air cleaner, new oil pressure sending unit. Rebuilt air compressor, alternator, and new fan blade. I kept the serpentine belt system of the 5L with a new belt. Summit Racing engine dress up kit included but still in box. Also included is a new pair of 5.0 headers which fit a fox body but not the old frame. Body: I started low and worked my way up replacing, sanding,priming, and undercoating the undercarriage. There are new floor boards, seat supports, foot well supports, front and rear torque boxes, new front fenders, new rear quarter panels (still need some finishing), new inner and outer wheelhouses, new left and right trunk floor supports, and a new rear frame rail. The cosmetic finishes on the body panels are not completed and some skilled work is needed to get the passenger door panel and quarter panel to fit better. I have new, in the box rear valence for a through the valance exhaust and a new front racing apron. Chassis: The entire suspension is new for both the front and rear. There are new: upper and lower control arms, ball joints, wheel bearings, Tie rods, Steering linkage, professionally rebuilt steering box, quick ratio pitman arm, shocks, and springs both front and rear. The springs are heavy duty. The rear end is a 9" from a 65 Shelby. The front brakes are new Force 10 extreme power disc brakes. Front and rear sway bars are new an I have new shelby style traction bars still in the box. The gas tank is new and is 221/2 gals. as is the sending unit. I have stainless steel brake lines not installed yet. New motor mounts, engine to frame mounts, T5 transmission crossmember, and rear brake parts (10" drum"). The wheels are new American Racing Torque Thrust Rims with new low profile tires 17x7" front and 17x8" rear. I some some new miscellaneous parts such as door handles, teardrop right and left side mirrors, firewall pad, light bezels, backup lights. All the glass is in good shape but window regulators need new plastic guides. I have a curved wood steering wheel still in box. Seats are in fair shape. Things the car still needs: 1. Lots of finishing on the body. 2.
