Vehicle Detail
"Divorce forces sale" I have another 1970 Mach 1 that I bought after this one listed in another auction. I bought the blue car in 2004 with the idea I'd do it up when something major let go, and drive it in the mean time. Nothing ever did. I need to replace the water pump (I have one, just hasn't made it in the car yet) and besides a new battery that's all I've ever done to the car. The "full disclosure" is that the car will need a master cylinder (most likely) because it takes a real shove to stop it, and there's something up with the transmission that requires you to shift down to first manually the first time you put it in gear for it to go through all 3. It's fine after that, and doesn't require this other than the first time you start off. It never bothered me so I never looked into it. This car has A/C, power brakes, was a power steering car but had the p/s components removed, fold-down seat, AM/FM radio, a nice set of BFGs and is just a great driving car. I bought it on eBay and drove it back from Texas with no problem. It's a 351C 2bbl/FMX. The only other thing is that it has very minor rust behind both rear wheels, and on the rear floorpans. It's not structural and would be easy to fix come paintjob time. It's a nice solid driver. The A/C (R12) works, too.
