Vehicle Detail
Well I'm sure no expert on Volkswagen camper buses, but a friend of mine has had this Sundial-camper/weekender bus in his family since 1976. It has always been titled in california, and he has lived in Colorado for the last 15 years, and can't find the title. So... IT DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE, and I can not get you one. I can only give you a bill of sale.(this bus is 100% legitimate, and I have lots of history on it). This bus is not currently running. It has been sitting in storage for the last 15-plus years idle. The engine turns-free. This bus will require whatever sitting that length of time would dictate. This is what I call a real "Barn Find". It was running fine when last driven. (from San Diego.) The guy I got it from, had big plans for it, but several personal issues, changed his direction. He told me that he never-ever imagined parting with this bus...ever. It has a dual-port 1600 engine with a big exhaust, big cam, big carb etc. It also has a spin on oil filter as well. It's sure not perfect, but is a genuine and actual, "Sundial" Volkswagen camper/bus. It has the ice box, sink, table, cabinets, bed etc. I have the "bumper" guard for the front, and a huge stack of receipts for it. It is very much unmolested and very original for the most part. There is some rust in the rockers, and a little up front on the floor, but overall, this bus is not very rusty like others it's age. My friend who owns a body/restoration shop, says that whom ever ends up with it, will be "thrilled" overall. My opening bid is $4,500 with no reserve. This bus is over 46 years old and it is being sold as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointed in any way...Now, all that having been said, I can't imagine finding a more original or more unmolested, "Sundial" bus like this for the price. I have no doubts that someone more mechanical, than myself, could have it up and running again in fairly short order. If I do not sell it as-is, my mechanic has offered to get it all up and going again for me, and I will re-list it accordingly. This camper-bus is filthy dirty, and just how I acquired it. Please remember, it has no title I can only give you a bill of sale. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I do not forsee any dissapointments, but those are just my thoughts...Thanks. Term of sale I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. If you have zero feedback, contact me before you bid or your bid will be canceled, and you will be blocked from further bidding as well.
