1950 Mercury Up for sale is a great running 1950 Mercury 2 door Sedan. This vehicle is owned by a friend of mine who doesn't use ebay. The only reason he is selling this car is, after his recent retirement, he spends 6 months out of the year in Texas and has decided to let someone enjoy this car rather than sit and look good in the garage. This Mercury was purchased by the current owner about 13 years ago in pretty much the same condition you see in the pictures. I gathered all the info I could along with pics so I could give an accurate description of this beautiful car. Lets start from the ground up. This Mercury is sitting on American Racing Wheels wrapped in Coker whitewall tires. The car has disk brakes in front and drums in the rear. The body is on a full Chevelle frame with a great running 350 engine, 4bbl Edlebrock carb (not sure what size), and a rebuilt 700r tranny with overdrive (recent upgrade which looks brand new from underneath). Also installed by the current owner is the larger aluminum radiator and a brand new air conditioning system. Though owner says a/c probably needs to be charged. The exhaust is dual out the rear and sounds great. The title says 90,0000 actual miles but odometer has tripped. The body, as you can see from the pics is in excellent shape. This Mercury has always been in a garage if not out cruising. There is no rust anywhere that I could find and other than a couple minor blemishes the body and paint still look great. The top has been chopped 4 inches which gives the car great lines. Also the doors have been shaved with a push button access under rocker panel. The front grill has been replaced with a DeSota grill. The spotlights are not operable, just there for looks. The interior is wrapped in white leather, including headliner door panels and seats. Seats I am told came out of a caddy and then were reupholstered. Owner added a Lecarra steering wheel to match seats. Dash looks original and in great shape only other addition to front is floor console to house tape deck. There is a 6 disk Pioneer CD changer in the trunk. Which is the only part of the upholstery that never got finished. Well that's all the info I gathered on this great car.
