Many thousands of dollars were put into the build of this car. It was professionally built from the ground up using only the best parts. Below is a list of the equipment and work done to the car: 351 Windsor stroked to 396 cubic inches with Edelbrock RPM Performer aluminum heads. High rise intake and 750 Holly double pumper. Crane cam and roller rockers. ARP bolts and fasteners used throughout motor. High performance timing chain and gears along with high flow water pump. Tremec 3550 5-Speed with Centerforce clutch Headers and new exhaust with cross over (exhaust from headers to axle was done two weeks ago) and Super Trap adjustable mufflers. No cats. 3.55 posi 8.8 rear end with 4 wheel disc brakes. Southside Machine upper and lower rear control arms with traction bars and welded in sub frame connectors. 5 lug conversion with Cobra R 17inch wheels and BF Goodrich G force radials (front tires have less than 1000 miles on them). Aluminum drive shaft with safety loop. Caster camber plates. Strut tower brace. 6 point roll cage and aluminum rear fire wall from Wolfe Racecraft. Trunk mounted battery with Flaming River kill switch. MSD Ignition, coil and distributor with rev limiter. Holly electric fuel pump with filter. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator with external gage. Howe Aluminum radiator and overflow with electric fan. Serpentine belt conversion. Rear seat delete Functional ram air hood BBK 170 MPH Speedo Auto Meter tach w/shift light Kenwood HD, Sirius, CD Tuner with Pioneer and Sony Speakers Professional paint Tinted Glass The Good This car is a very clean, rust free western car NV, AZ, CA. It’s the rare Mercury Capri Fox Body with the RS option. It was built from the ground up with every part in the drive train rebuilt or replaced with new parts and has approximately 40000 miles on it since it was finished. It has a beautiful paint job that has only a few nicks and scratches. It’s always been garaged and runs and drives excellent. the chassis and suspension are tight It has seen the drag strip on a few occasions turning a best time of mid 11's. It’s never had NOS or any external power adders. It’s been primarily used as a weekend car taken to car shows, pleasure cruises etc. The Bad Recently the air cleaner stud vibrated loose and went down the carburetor into the motor. It did this at start up and the car was shut down as soon as the noise was heard. But damage was done. It ended up in the number two piston and cracked the cylinder wall while at the same time gouging the piston and chamber area of the head. It needs the cylinder sleeved or an engine block, one piston and possibly a head. The crank still turns freely by hand and the piston moves the full travel in its bore so the crank and rods are good. The motor has been partially disassembled to assess the damage. All parts that have been removed will go with the car. I do not want to sell this car but don’t have the time or space for another project. It would be nice to see this car fixed and brought back to being as good or better than before. The paint is excellent except for one pea sized spot on the passenger fender and some spots along the leading bottom edge of the front air dam where a rubber bumper had been attached.
