Sure to be a collector car someday. Never sold in the USA. Available to European market only. Fully federalized and legally imported. Registered since 1982 in USA. It is a 1981 BMW 745i Turbo Euro model with only 18k miles. Yes the miles are correct and super low. Previously owned by an airline pilot that sparingly drove the car and garaged it. Prior to that it had been owned by a prominent government official overseas that imported the car in 1982 to USA. I have documentation and previous registration copies of ownership history dating to 1982. Still has original BAR import decals. The odometer reads 28k Kilometers which converts to 18k miles. Note that this is a Euro model and odometer is in Kilometers. Previous smog checks and service history available. Complete with the original books manuals, past registration information from 1982 and original blue California plates. I decided to restore the car since it was such a beautiful preserved example of a true low mile 745i Turbo with original paint. Rare as they come. My mechanic who specializes in 745i turbos says it is one of the lowest mile cars he has ever seen and probably the lowest in the country. Recently shown in Monterey BMW CCA meet 8/2011. The only 745i turbo there! It is equipped with full leather interior in perfect shape-no rips or tears (never been dyed), period correct Blaupunkt radio with gooseneck controller, wood grain, clifford key pad alarm, BBS Spoilers front and rear, BBS 3 piece mesh wheels. Car was federalized and wears US bumpers, safety bars, air pump and Catalytic convertor. I have spent thousands of dollars on the car doing the proper mechanical repairs (over 8k spent within past year). The car now runs and drives beautifully. She starts right up and idles great. A huge improvement from when I first got her. All of the electronics are working- speedometer, odometer, lights, windows, sunroof door locks, radio. The AC blows warm and needs servicing/diagnosis. Car passes smog fine. Clean title in hand.
