Vehicle Detail

I bought the Berlina with the thought of doing a V-6 Alfa conversion, but I got too busy with one of my airplanes and decided to wait on the project. I have a twin-spark in my 73 Spider, so I was interested in trying the V-6. I am about 1 1/2 years from getting to this project, so I thought I would see if I could sell it. I have lots of storage space so it is not a problem to hang on to it. It was/is my intention to change the suspension, differential, brakes etc to 2 Litre parts when I start this project. It appears this Alfa spent it's whole life in California, hence no major rust issues. There is rust in the engine bay near the steering box due to missing paint from brake fluid spillage (see photo). This seems to be the most severe rust on the vehicle. The rockers are solid as is the spare tire well. The original color was dark blue. The green paint is a marginal repaint and any door dings were repaired poorly. It may have been painted a light blue at sometime, prior to the green. The original dark blue is evident on the underside of the hood. The only sign of damage was to the rear. The rear most trunk floor has some creases. There does not seem to be any bondo in the repair. The trunk lid may have been replaced with an undamaged unit. I am not sure of the milage. The door rubber is missing but, included is a new set for all 4 doors. One floor panel seems to have been replaced. The interior upholstery is not original, except for that and the unfortunate paint job, the vehicle seems original. The engine runs smoothly and accelerates fine, with some hesitation at times on initial acceleration.. My Alfa mechanic thinks the Spica pump needs to be replaced. There is a back fire pop on de-acceleration. There are no transmission issues. The suspension seems to be original. All mechanical aspects seem to be original. The tires are good and wider than the original size. The dash has several cracks. The photo of threshold and the floor under the carpet is not rusty. Looks to be glue. 500.00 at close of auction. Balance in 7 days. I can hold the vehicle for any length of time. Bill 575 737-8610 The car is in Albuquerque, NM
