Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is Turbocharged Mazda RX-8 with many more upgrades. All work on the vehicle was performed by Synaptic3 Engineering out of Candia, NH and the speed force racing turbocharger kit was purchased from Turbo-Kits .com as well as the additional fuel upgrade, Greddy exhaust upgrade, ball bearing upgrade and PowerMod ECU. This same kit is still listed for sale so you can research it if you like. Synaptic engineered the car from the ground up and made additional modifications to ensure this car has a long lifetime. All wiring was done meticulously with lead solder and wrapped, the manifold and turbo piping was cut and tig-welded for a better fit, everything has been wrapped for heat insulation and the car went through hours of tuning and driving before it was released. I have over $10,000 in labor invested and around $15,000 in parts that I can think of. Even the oil cooler lines have been removed so that larger diameter and more flexible hose could be run to keep the engine running cooler and more reliably. The car was tuned to 9psi as recommended by the kit and by Synaptic, but can be tuned higher if you need it to be. No expense was spared when it came to putting this car together. I purchased the car as the second owner from Wellesley Mazda in Wellesley MA, outside of Boston in 2008 with around 13,000 miles. The turbo kit and other modifications were all installed when the car had around 35,000 miles, so they're still relatively wear-and-tear free. Upgrades: RX-8 SFR Turbo Kits Include: $5695.00 - TO4E Turbo w/ V-Band Clamps - Turbo Mounting Plate - 304SS Stainless Turbo Heat Shield - 321SS "Ultimate Flow" Turbo Header - 3.5 - 3" Cold Air Intake - K&N air filter - Tial 46mm Dual-Port Wastegate - 1.6" 304SS Wastegate Dumptube - 3" 304SS Downpipe - Bell Front Mount Intercooler - 2-2.5-3" Aluminum Intercooler Piping - Tial 50mm Blow off Valve - Battery Relocation Line w/ Cables - Thermotec Header Wrap - Stainless Steel Radiator Hose - Silicone hoses (red, blue or black) - Stainless Steel Hoseclamps - 3-AN Teflon Lined Oil Feed w/ Fittings - 10-AM Oil Drain w/ Fittings - All Necessary Hardware & Fittings Fuel System Upgrade: $895.00 - Cobb AccessPORT w/ Base Map - (4) RC 550cc Injectors w/ ClipsBall Bearing Upgrade: $550.00 Greddy Exhaust Upgrade: $664.00 DM-100 PLX gauges are installed for engine and performance monitoring. These gages are the best in the industry and every screen and image/color can be customized through a computer and the attached USB port. They emit a tone when a parameter is out of spec so you'll be alerted right away if there is an issue. Currently, they monitor water temp, fuel pressure, vacuum, boost and air-to-fuel ratio. The gauges alone were over $200 each and each of the 4 sensors were expensive as well. The car was tuned using the on board PowerMod ECU which is mounded at the foot of the passenger side. You can still easily access is the the attached USB cable. The interior was originally cloth, but when I purchased the car I had a custom black and tan interior installed through a company the dealership recommended. The custom leather, driver and passenger heated seats and 3-step interior paint process came to around $1800.00 Extras: I'm including the OEM car cover ($250) and the cobb access port ($700) Came with ungraded xenon headlights (I'll throw in some extra bulbs that I have) and a Nav system. All parts removed from the car for modifications will be included with the car; air intake box, engine cover etc.. Care: The vehicle has reasonably low miles for a 2006 and I use it primarily on the highway to get to work and back. This car has never been on a track nor has it been raced. I spent most of my time during the past few years working out of the country and never got to drive it much unfortunately. I've always changed the oil myself at 3000-3500 miles using 5w-20 as recommended with a high performance oil filter. During the winter and heavy pollen season the car was kept under the OEM car cover that I purchased for it that I will include with the car. I've kept the car clean and waxed it by hand about once every 3 weeks during the summer so the paint is in great condition. Usually, it would be off the road until March when the weather is nicer and the roads are free of sand and salt. I've always let it come up to temperature before calling for boost to save on the bearings and never dumped the clutch or abused it in any way. Issues: There are no mechanical issues with the car whatsoever. I had it checked out by a mechanic before putting it up for the winter (including a compression test) and verified that everything was sound. The 'radiator low coolant level' light will come on sometimes while driving, because it is getting a false signal. The T-4 turbo is cooled using water, so when it circulates throughout the system the car signals a low coolant level in the tank because some coolant is being stolen for the turbo. I was told this is normal for water cooled turbos of this kind. Also, once every few thousand miles the CEL will come on. This is an oxygen sensor reading that claims things are out of spec (they're not). Again, this is normal for a car that is heavily modified. The light will go away normally after a hundred miles or so and stays off. I haven't seen it in the past 5,000 miles so maybe its gone for good, but I figured I would mention it. As for cosmetics, there is a small dent in the hood and on the roof as well. They were most likely caused by acorns and there is no paint loss in the dents. You should be able to see them in the last pictures and I tried to make them noticeable, but they don't stand out at all. The title is clear, but I have been hit while stopped at a red light and had to have the taillights, trunk lid and both bumpers replaced because they were dented. The front bumper was a dented and scraped because I was pushed into the car in front of me, but nothing behind it was damaged. All of the parts used were brand new from the factory and were not taken from a junkyard. They were installed and painted by a local bodyshop. All of the damage was strictly cosmetic and nothing under the hood was damaged. I have pictures of the accident and can provide them upon request. If there are any additional questions or pictures that you would like, I would be happy to help. Send a message or call Dustin at 978-821-9288. I have a flexible schedule so if you are in the Boston area and would like to look at the car, it can be arranged. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements for long distances. I can also drive 100 miles or so to deliver it at no extra cost depending on your schedule. $500.00 paypal deposit is required 48 hours after the sale of the car. The remainder of the balance will be paid in cash or certified bank check or money order. This car is sold in an as-is condition and comes with no warranty expressed, written or implied.
