Vehicle Detail

0 0 1 347 1983 Western Kentucky University 16 4 2326 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4. 172k miles. The SUV has the following features: 3rd row seating front/rear a/c power driver’s seat CD player 4.6 V8 Automatic The two front tires are in good shape, they have at least half of their life left. The rear tires are almost brand new, they have 2-3k miles on them. I had a bunch of work done in the front end to get the alignment right about a year ago….new tie rods, etc. Front hubs and ABS sensors are a few months old. As you can see from the pictures, there is some rust on the outer edges of the wheel wells on both sides in the rear. I thought about using some of the Eddie Bauer style wheel well trim pieces to cover it up, but it didn’t bother me enough to do that. There are some large but shallow dents on the passenger side rear that you can see in the pictures. There are also some smaller dents here and there around the vehicle as well as some scratches. The exhaust has a rattle at about 1200 RPMs under just the right throttle. It’s probably a heat shield, I just never bothered to mess with it. Every now and then I can feel a slight vibration at 45 mph., I'm not sure if a wheel needs balanced or what. I actually have not felt it for a while so either I've become used to it or it went away. Just thought I should mention it. The 4x4 engages fine, but sometimes you have to drive a few feet in reverse to get it to disengage. This model Expedition doesn’t have a true 2wd mode, just auto 4wd. I disabled this feature by cutting a wire….it was going into 4x4 on its own when it didn’t need to. If you want to turn this feature back on, you just have to splice the wire back together. I don’t recommend it though, it drives way better without it. The A/C works pretty good, but isn’t great. After you drive for about 5-10 minutes it gets really cool and it was plenty cool the other day when it was 87 out. It’s just not freezing cold as soon as you start the truck. I’ve done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. Please keep in mind that it is 12 years old, has over 170k miles on it, and I’m not a mechanic. I am not making any guarantees about this vehicle and it is being sold as-is. It has made several trips to Nashville and the Crossville, TN area without issue, but as with any vehicle this age something could pop up. I have this vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time prior to the close of the auction. Also, PLEASE read the terms of the purchase. I need a deposit within 48 hours so I know you are serious about purchasing the vehicle, and I'd like it to be paid for and picked up within 7 days. If these terms don't work for you, please contact me prior to bidding and we can probably work something out.
