Vehicle Detail
Ok here is the history of the car, The car was originally a 351 4barrel 3speed manual car. The original color was Lime Green with a green interior. It now has Dark Aqua Mettalic paint, with a Black interior. The car was sold in 1969 in Texas, in 1989 it was sold to a gentelman in ILL. The original 351 was not in the car. He built a 351 C. For the car and was ready to drop it in when he saw an ad for a 428cj. He could not resist. The motor was completly rebuilt to factory specs. Was dropped in with a big input Toplader 4 speed. He drove the car for a while then parked it. I bought the car 3 years ago. I put in a 280H Comp cam, new valve springs, seals, retainers and locks. A new timing chain, Edelbrock single plane intake and an 800 Holley DP. Resurfaced flywheel, new Centerforce II clutch. Rebuilt Posi unit in rear and put in 3:70 gears. Also had Trans rebuilt. New bearings, syncros and a new second Gear. The wrong gear was put on the tailshaft so the speedometer does not work. The car has all the original sheetmetal on it. The only rust on the body is a tiny bubble right behind the passanger door. The underside has one small area on the driverside floor that needs reparied. Look at the pic. The passenger floor was fixed before I got the car. Frame rails and torque boxes are excellent. The paint is about a 6-7 out of 10. The car gets a lot of attention where ever it goes. The only thing it really needs beside the speedo gear is headers. They are not in the best of shape, still works ok, right side leaks some. I did run the car at the strip just to see what it runs. Ran 12.95 @ 108mph. Numbers say it should be at 425HP. The reason for the 1970 taillights is they wouldn't let me run with the battery in the trunck without a battery cutoff switch. Did not want to cut up the original tailights that are in very good shape.Has new 2.5" dual exhaust with Thrush 3 chamber mufflers. Interior is very nice with the exception of the rear deck should be redone. Bought material to redo it just never got to it. Has power brakes but not power steering. Electronic ignition with MSD 6al box. Very fun car to drive, it is something that you don't see everyday, and expect alot of questions when you take it out. Thanks for looking and good luck on a very nice car. If you have any ? please feel free to email me. $500.00 deposit via Paypal, non refundable, balance within 7 days no exceptions.
