2003 Ford E 350 Super Duty - Model Code: 3 DC Handicap Bus 7.3 V8 Diesel Engine - 138" Wheelbase -21' Bumper to Bumper - 205,881 Miles Don't let the mileage fool you - strong motor and tranny. No leaks, excessive noise, smoking, misfire or slippage. Bid with confidence and drive it home! This truck is going to the highest bidder. No Reserve! No Buy It Now! Please Don't Ask! We drove this vehicle about 40 - 45 miles on the expressway and locally - no problems. This was in service up to the last day it was used 4 months ago, and it started right up. There seems to be a minor electrical glitch with the handicap ramp, but it does go up and down manually. We are not qualified to do an inspection on this truck because it weighs over 8500 lbs. It need a special truck inspection, even if it's used as a cargo van. If it it is to be used as a bus, it will require a more stringent Dept. of Transportation inspection. This is the law in NY State - I have no idea of any inspection criteria pertaining to this truck for other states. Lights all seem to work. Front tires are a little weak - rears are very good. Brakes feel fine, but we did not pull a wheel to examine brake pads. Drives nicely, but assume it may or may not have a worn suspension part. We did not put the vehicle on the lift to examine it closely. Due to the high mileage we cannot guarantee or warranty this truck. Since we are not getting an inspection done ... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
