Vehicle Detail
HERE IT IS! PLUM CRAZY MOPAR MUSCLE! 1971 Dodge Demon 340 Clone This Demon started its life as a slant six and stayed in California for over 20 years. The car was owned by a military member and driven to the east coast. It now has a 360ci crate motor. Not sure which shop built the engine, but here’s what is has: 4BBL Edlebrock carb 302 cast swirl ported and polished 318 heads 10:1 compression ratio Not sure about horsepower numbers. The car is very fast! This plum crazy Demon was built as a 340 about 6,000 miles ago and it was done correctly. It has an 8 ¾ rear with 3:55 gears, A833 4-speed transmission with brand new Hurst shifter, it has the correct k-member, side view mirrors, front disk – rear drum brakes. Note that the driver’s side door appears to be off of a 70 Duster. The front end was rebuilt. Has power steering. Drives and steers perfectly, straight, and solid. The interior has new bucket and rear seats, and new carpeting. All gauges and lights work except the under-dash reverse light and the brake light. Odometer shows 98,800 miles. The headliner has not been replaced, but is still not bad. The glass is good except for a few scratches on the right side window. The chrome is shiny and bright - like new. The exhaust is brand new 2.5 inch with Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers. The sound is incredible. Sounds like a big block! Some things to take note of: there is one small place on the bottom corner of right side door that has some bubbling. Not sure if it can be seen in the photos or videos, but the right rear quarter looks like it’s had some body-work done. It is not laser straight. Also, the one time I washed the car, I noticed that the trunk has a leak. It’s not bad, but needs to be noted. The speedometer cable must need replaced. It works but seems to bounce a bit at low speeds. Please see my videos of the car here: http://youtu.be/xcdIIRCdQL0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoobuulHvdo http://youtu.be/USqCfGVKKig http://youtu.be/CHyWmjzXswo http://youtu.be/XjzeTRUDBYk http://youtu.be/F-rELizLUkk http://youtu.be/tbeVwEbs4ag This Demon 340 clone is a great driver quality Mopar machine. It’s fast and fun. Here is a piece of American muscle that turns heads every single time you drive it.The car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I suggest you come to see the car if you're interested. On Apr-29-12 at 11:52:40 PDT, seller added the following information: ****I JUST LOWERED THE RESERVE TO $15,000.00.**** I found a car that I'd like to buy locally, so I'm lowering the reserve on this beautiful Demon. Look around. There is another Demon clone on this site going for $22k, and I found others on other sites going for more than that. My price is an incredible bargain for this car.
