Vehicle Detail
My Aunt's cream puff one owner car 1949 Dodge Coronet fit for a Princess never saw a rainstorm, has always been in the garage. Smoke-free, stored in dry climate of Western Oklahoma. Condition: The pictures show that I've not touched it since my Aunt's death, so just dusty - the only damage I see is the upholstery on the armrest on the driver's side, paint rubbed off parts of the steering wheel, a few soiled marks by other door handles. There is 1 small dent on the rear right as shown in the photo.Features: This was the 1st year for the Coronet - defined by the small crown worn by Princes and Dukes; this Dodge has the top trim level. Chrome plating throughout, all original handles, including the backseat bar. Original period whitewall tires with the Dodge hubcaps. Even have the spare tire still in the trunk. The original sun visor is all intact. Interior upholstery is excellent since it was only my Aunt in the car - the interior roof is all perfect, floor is the black rubber. Windows are all perfect - no cracks. e-mail me with any other specific questions.History: Purchased from Brown Motors in Shattuck, OK by my single spinster aunt in 1949 and was driven by only her and kept in her garage; she wouldn't go out if it was going to rain. The car was shedded upon her death on our farm and has not been tampered with in any way. Shipping and Payment: Cashier's Check or Cash accepted. Buyer may pick up the vehicle when payment has been made. On Apr-24-12 at 17:10:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I READ THE ODOMETER WRONG - SEE ATTACHED PICTURES - 49019 MILES AND NOT 19019. I've taken more pictures of the interior to show the dash and seats and glove box - the original owner's manual is included! We opened the hood - there is an interior chrome handle that unlocks the hood - how advanced was this car for 1949!! We turned the crankshaft by the fan belt - so it is free. We pushed the car and show the tracks we made in the dirt floor - so you can roll it onto your trailer. The tires hold air but we wouldn't trust them far. We've decided not to wash the car because some collector's want to do this in their own way and use the wax that they prefer. We have hard water and no soft water at this location. Plus, the vehicle is in a dirt floor shed, which would make a muddy mess in our shed.
