Well I'm sure no expert on Volvos, but a friend of mine has owned this P 1800s for almost 20 years. He loved this car, but just has no time for it. This car has been garaged most of its life. He put brand new tires on it, a couple of years ago with the intention of driving it more. Well that was 2 years ago, and the tires still have the "Nubs" on them. His mechanic told him that the carburetors/fuel system, should be cleaned out from the car sitting idle for so long. Although this car has just 77,000 original miles on it, the fact that it has been sitting idle, for so long, probably has not been a plus for it. This car is what I call "barn-fresh". The car was painted over 20 years ago. The paint has some blisters down low by the rockers. This is not a rusty car. The trunk , floors, undercarriage, etc are all excellent. What ever rust it may have is minimal for a 1967. This car has its factory overdrive, and I believe the car is almost 100% original. The driver seat has a tear, and there is no radio. I have the missing "chrome spear" for the front fender, as well as the factory shop manual. All of the glass is very nice. This car is a bit dirty, but is just how I recieved it. This car wont win any beauty contests, and is certainly not perfect, but I have no doubts that someone more mechanical than myself could have this car up and going again in very short order. The car is not currently running.(it has sat idle for over a year or more). It will require whatever sitting that long would dictate.(fresh fuel,new battery,etc.). My opening bid is $4,000.00 with no reserve. This Volvo is 45 years old, and being sold as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst, and hope for the best than be dissapointed in any way. If I do not sell it.." as-is" my mechanic will get it running, for me and I will relist it accordingly. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I can't imagine finding a lower mileage or more original and unmolested P1800S for the price. I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. The actual vin # is 183451022027 I think that whom ever ends up with this car, will be very pleased with it, (but theese are just my thoughts) Term of sale I can not ship.....
