I am the second owner of this Grand marquis GS. I purchased it in 2004 when it had 29000 miles on the clock. Today it shows just over 86,100 miles. It was used by me for the first few years and then my father after I moved to FL. Most of the miles have been accumulated driving from Tampa FL to NJ as I live in Tampa, and my parents are still in NJ. It has always been meticulously maintained, and is in excellent mechanical condition. This car is a GS sport so it has all the same equipment as the police interceptors. Dual exhaust, 3.27 rear, upgraded suspension, trans cooler….etc etc. It took me quite a bit to find a black GS sport back in 2004, I would think they are a bit harder to find today. These cars are rated at 240 HP and feel great on the road. The combination of rear gear, suspension and dual exhaust really wakes these cars up. They are surprisingly quick, and handle very well. Not like a standard grand marquis or crown vic. The GS models are a bit lighter as they are not as heavily optioned…thus adding to the equation. One must have perspective of course as we are talking grand marquis and not mustang. It is not a performance machine by any means. But for a big sedan, it will surprise quite a few people with it’s capabilities. There is no wonder law enforcement use these cars. We have tried to keep this car as nice as possible, but it is after all 11 years old. There are minor scratches here and there. The passenger door has a small dent under the mirror about the size of a nickel. Simple for the paintless dent guys, but I will leave it to the new owner. There is also a small dent on the driver rear door close to the door handle. Again, simple for the paintless dent guys. These are minor in retrospect, but are there. You can see it in the pictures I have provided. The paint on the car is nice for the year and miles. It is not perfect, so please don’t expect it to be. A few scratches can be found in certain places but they would be minor. It is a black car so most anything can be seen. We have waxed it regularly and it is smooth as glass. There is no rust on the car, and it has never been in any accident. Interior is clean with no stains or odors. Nothing is broken and everything works as it should. Only wear inside the car are the front seats. The fabric shows some wear from sitting. Driver side primarily. There are no tears or rips anywhere. Rear seats are perfect. Carpet shows no stains and is not worn anywhere. Trunk is the trunk and has a brand new spare mounted on a full size wheel. Mechanically the car is as solid as can be. Oil changed every 3000 miles, trans fluid every 40000 miles. It was actually flushed at 80000. A new rear seal was also installed at that time. There are no leaks from the transmission and it shifts perfectly (no shudder or other weirdness). The motor runs great! Smooth idle with no strange noises. Has great power and does not leak anywhere. Air suspension works as it should and does not leak. Here are a few of the recent maintenance items that I can remember…… - All ball joints replaced. Upper and lower - Front shocks replaced with KYB. Rears are motorcraft and have about 30k miles on them. - Front sway bar bushings replaced - Alternator replaced - Rear air springs replaced - Brakes replaced, rotors included. - Transmission fluid flush, rear seal replaced - All 4 tires show 90% tread - All 4 factory wheels refurbished As stated earlier the car runs and drives great. There are no warning lights in the dash and everything works as it should. A/C is ice cold, heat is hot. Currently there is a CD stereo installed along with 4 infinity speakers. I I asked my dad if he could locate the original radio, but no luck. This is a very reliable car that has many more miles in it. Drive it anywhere. Bidding will start at a very low $1000 and the car will sell to the high bidder. Please ask questions if you have them. Car is located in tampa FL. Please remember….this is an 11 year old car with 86k miles. It is not brand new, and not advertised as perfect. Black cars are not easy to keep in perfect condition when used daily.
