Vehicle Detail

This is a Pontiac Firebird convertible 1991. The body is in very good condition small ding on the drivers door. Ready for a cheap MAACO paint job. Its a convertible there were around 1000 made in 91. Its an extremely rare car. Not many are left its the only one I've ever seen from this year. The motor was replaced the original spun a rod. It was replaced with same year engine from another firebird. Its a 305. I got it from a person in Fox Lake that does the maintnence work at the Volo auto museum (he owns Jerry's auto) The 350 engine was not offered since it might do damage to the frame but with some custom reinforcement wielding anything is possible of corse. Im a mechanic by trade and it was worked on extensively at the shop. It was a TBI engine I bought the car with the wiring harnass cut up so I converted it to a 4bbl carberator. Heres the good and bad: The good: Power windows and locks, New brakes all around - New calipers new rotors new pads new bearings seals etc. 2k miles on the tires (got from a dealership customer bought new car wanted new tires so i got the ones with 2k for free good deal) Hardly any rust anywhere car must have been treated or something, New holley intake tbi to carb conversion from summit racing, rebuilt HEI distributor, New cap, rotor, ignition coil, Bosch 4+ plugs, new headmann headers and y pipe, new Interstate battery, new electric fuel pump and filter, newer real nice looking front seats. 700r4 tranny The bad: Convertible top needs replacing back plastic window is missing i got it covered with roof shingles for time being (new convertible tops on ebay go for 250$ with window any color), rain got to the back seats I did replace them but they would need a deep cleaning at the least, sun faded paint, exaust needs a straight pipe from the y pipe unless you like it really loud, theres an oil leak from the dipstick, window motors are shot but they are super cheap, carb needs tuning. Fix leak tune carb and you are set. Ignition wires are a bit iffy also but cheapos cost around 40$ from autozone or whatever Im losing my spot and need to sell asap. It runs but needs a bit of care and would need to be towed or dollied. I have years and a few grand invested into this car but its time to cut my losses and say goodbye. I need to sell it as a parts car since my ex fiance tossed out my title and I dont have the money or the drive to continue working on it and landlord is pestering me to get it moved. Its not hard to get a title it takes about 3 months and about 80$ depending on where you live. If you own a classic car or something that needs some restoration these parts are new as of last season and have 0 miles on them bought from NAPA auto parts and not the cheap stuff either. I would advise not parting out the car as it is rare and would be worth some coin if fully restored. Its hard to beat cruising her down the street with the top down lots of stares and thumbs up.
