Vehicle Detail
1955 FORD FAIRLANE CLUB SEDAN RECENTLY REDUCED - LOWER RESERVE!Check out the Youtube video at; http://youtu.be/F43vTjgCy7g I have owned this car for about 4 years and have driven it regularly on the weekends. Any restoration work was done by the previous owner. It remains largely in stock condition with very few exceptions; such as the 12-volt electrical system with alternator and electronic ignition (no points & condenser). I cannot attest to the mileage showing except to say that the speedometer and odometer have worked and recorded mileage the entire time I have owned the car. The car has been garaged the entire time and the fluids have all been changed at regular intervals. It has been registered and insured the entire time. EVERYTHING WORKS! All Lights, Horns, W/S Wipers, Parking Brake, Turn Indicators, Radio, Clock (works intermittently and probably needs cleaning), AM Radio, A/C, Heater, Gauges, Speedometer, Vents, Cigarette Lighter, everything. INTERIOR: · * Upholstery, headliner, carpet, door panels & trunk liner are all in good condition with no holes or rips. · * After-market Air Conditioner (see photos)EXTERIOR: · * Stainless steel trim and badges are all in good shape · * White sidewall tires are about 2 years old with less than 2,000 miles · * All windows work; front, rear & vent wind-wings, no cracks · * Windshield has some scratches, no cracks or bubbles · * The two-tone paint is intact and in good shape (there are some minor chips and hair-line cracks, some of which I have captured in the photos). As you can tell from the photos, there are no significant dents, door dings. This car has been in the Southwest for at least the past 15 years. There is NO EVIDENCE OF SIGNIFICANT RUST. ENGINE · * 272 cubic inch “Y -Block” correct for the model year (Block and head casting marks “ECG", "D" Heads). Engine reflects its age and mileage but has always been very reliable; always starts and never once let me down in four years. · * Stock two-barrel carburetor, stock intake manifold · * Oil-bath air cleaner · * Dual Exhaust, stock exhaust manifolds TRANSMISSION / DRIVE TRAIN · * 3-speed “Fordomatic” (Low + 2 speeds in Drive) · * Balanced drive shaft, new universal joints (preventative maintenance) PLEASE READ! As with most cars of this age and condition, this one has minor leaks from the crankcase and transmission. A few drops in each case, not enough to require added fluid between changes. I have tried to represent the condition of this vehicle accurately. No warranty is expressed or implied. It is being sold as is where is and I am not responsible for buyer’s “perception” of its condition. Buyer is responsible for transport. If you have questions, please ask! I will answer honestly and to the best of my knowledge. You are encouraged to see it in person or have it inspected prior to bidding. A non-refundable down payment of $500.00 is due within 48 hours of auction end. The highest bidder agrees to pay the remaining balance with CASH or CASHIER’S CHECK within 7 days of auction closing. Upon bank approval, wire transfer of funds will be considered. Absolutely no more time will be allowed. Car must be picked up within 7 days and will not be released until funds are cleared. I have the original clean Title in my possession. Transaction must be completed within 7days of auction closing. The car is being advertised locally and I therefore reserve the right to end the auction early. Thank you for your interest!
