Vehicle Detail

Decided to Relist Her BUT Now There is No Reserve and The Toolbox Does NOT Come With The Truck NEW VIDEO ADDED...PLUS SHIPPING INFO AT BOTTOM!   This is a RARE FIND for this year. She was basically bought off the 2nd owner (some family members had title transfers though). The person I got it from was friends with the original owner and said it spent most of it's life in the garage until he bought it sometime in the last decade. I had planned on having it fully restored but like so many times in life, plans have had to change and now I need to sell her. This truck has gotten more compliments than any other vehicle I have owned and I will be sorry to see her go but hope someone will provide a good home for her. She is a 1981 (30 Years old), Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat with all the bells and whistles, barely any rust...mechanically sound with only 74,102 original miles. I have always been able to jump in and start her right up with no effort at all... when she's warm you barely have to turn the key... when she's cold one or two pumps of the gas is all it takes. I have not seen any oil drips... she shifts great and I really enjoy driving her around. Click Below To Play Video of Truck Going Down The Road NEW VIDEO: Click Below To See Things Working and More Walk Around When it comes to options this truck has a lot of them (I am not sure if there were any other options left to get back then even). Here is a list of the options she has: Option List For This Ranger Lariat with Wood Grain Trim1) AM/FM stereo compact cassette tape player 2) Air Conditioning 3) Convenience Group - Includes: -- Intermittant Wipers -- 12" Day Night Mirror -- Carpeted Moulded Bin on bottom of doors -- Headlamp On Warning Buzzer-- Courtesy Light Switch on Passenger Door 4) Electronic Digital Clock 5) Fingertip Speed Control (Cruise Control) 6) Light Group - Includes: -- Underhood Retractable worklight -- Glove Box Lamp -- Ash Tray Lamp -- Underdash Courtesy Lamps -- Dome Lamp/Map Light -- Cargo Lamp 7) Western Mirrors (Bright Low Mount Swing away 6x9) 8) Power Door Locks 9) Power Windows 10) Sliding Rear Window (It says "CARLITE" etched on it's glass, so it's factory) 11) Auxillery Fuel Tank 12) Automatic Transmission 13) Security Lock Group (All Locks Work)-- Inside Locking Hood Release (Chrome)-- Locking Gas Caps-- Locking Glove Box 14) Exterior Protection Group - Includes: -- Bright Door Edge Guards -- Front Bumper Guards -- Front Bumper Rub Strips 15) Sports Instrumentation: (Tachometer with Ammeter and Oil Pressure Gauges) 16) Chrome Rear Step Bumper (with Vinyl Rub Strips) 17) Sport Wheel Covers 18) Ranger Lariat Trim 19) Combination Tu-Tone with appropriate trim20) Tilt Wheel21) Power Steering22) High Output Heater23) Chrome Grill24) Carpeted Storage Behind Seats Since this is the first time I am selling a vehicle online like this I want to point out EVERYTHING I know that is in need of attention on this truck. Hopefully you understand that this is a 30 year old truck and is not in NEW condtion.. it has been used as a daily driver for the past few years but was told it was garaged most of it's life in the mid west. That being said here is the "bad" (if you want to call it that... I prefer the "needs attention" phrase myself :)Here is The "Needs Attention" List (I don't know if everyone would risk writing all this out but I feel it's only fair)Rust spot on bed over passenger side wheel (see photos)Door ding on passenger side (see photo)A/C needs charged or serviced (I was told it worked great but needed charging... no need for it here so I never tried and it could be other problems but this is all I know)Factory rims were swapped (Under the original hubcaps are white appliance wheels, not factory steel rims)Tear in drivers side seat. Seat is nice and firm with no sagging etc but there is wear and tear on drivers side from getting in and out (See photos) Fuel gauge is hit and miss... sometimes it works and sometimes it shows "E", was told it was possibly a leaky float.Door Panels show wear (See photos)Various dings or paint blemishes (See photos - hood and roof has small dings that can be seen when waxed - bed has a few dings on top rail)Small ding in wind shield (Just noticed and is about an inch or so on passenger side)Cruise Control Not Working (Looking into this now and have bought parts)Some clear coat peeling on the drivers side fender (See photos - I may try to wet sand this out soon)Now hopefully that all didn't scare you off. Again, this is a 30 Year Old Truck and there is A Lot Of Good to List As WellHere is the "Good List"American Made Classic that looks and drives great stillFull of Convenience Options not commonly found 30 years ago (Read full list above and See Photos)Virtually Everything Works... lights, locks, windows etc. (minus what is listed above in the Needs Attention list)Truck drives great in every way (I would take her across the USA tomorrow)Very Low Miles... only 74KGreat 2 Tone Color Scheme (inside color is Nutmeg, exterior is Antique Cream and Dark Chamois)No Rattles or Clunks like most older trucks (I like quiet rides like this and hate dash rattles)All original and nobody has modified things so it's a great truck for a full restoration (Or daily driver)99% Complete (that's a guess because of the non-factory rims)For a 30 Year Old Ford this truck has very little rust... I can send you photos of the floor boards from under neath.Well I guess that's it. I hope she finds a good home and know her new owner will enjoy her as much as I did.If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them with 100% accuracy. Need Shipping Prices?? I can send you a link to a website that will get you quotes from many (over 10) auto transport companies very quick and it's free. I got quotes to ship this truck door to door on a flatbed for only around $950 all the way to Florida from Washington.... a lot cheaper than I had thought it would be.   Note: I bought the missing piece of trim, replaced the dented trim on door and got Ford floor mats since last listing of this.   Again Please READ - The Toolbox Does NOT Come With The Truck This Time (sorry)
