Vehicle Detail

My name is James. This is a 1997 black Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Door convertible, with tan leather interior. I bought this car from a dealer here in San Diego approximately 2 years ago. I have maintained the car perfectly through a gentleman named Ivan who owns a European repair shop called Black Mountain European auto repair. He has kept meticulous records on everything that he has done on the car for me, including a new clutch, and within the last two weeks, a major tuneup which anyone who knows Porsches knows, this is not cheap. If a legitimate buyer is interested in this car, I would be happy to facilitate either a phone call with Ivan or if you are in the area, we can meet him so that you can discuss the work that he has done. But I assure you this car runs perfectly. I have kept the car in a covered garage with a cover on top of the car since I purchased it. While the pictures certainly show how gorgeous the car is, they do not do justice when compared to seeing the car in person. Therefore, anyone who is interested in seeing the car, all you have to do is call me and we'll set up an appointment time I'm tempted to list this car as excellent condition, but there is one small thing that prevents me from doing so. A few months ago while parked on a downward facing hill, I opened the door on the driver side and lost my grip of the door. The car door opened and bent back a piece of the metal where the hinge connects to the body. This has not prevented the door from opening nor does it make a loud noise. In fact it does not need to be repaired at all. It is simply a cosmetic repair. I did get a quote from a gentleman at a body shop. He quoted me a cost of $900 to completely repair this. I am in no hurry to sell this car. I have another car and a rental car through my work. I say this because I do not want any phone calls from dealers or anyone who would like to discuss a trade-in or any other type of deal like that. I am only interested in a legitimate buyer who wants to buy the car outright. This truly is a perfect car and I hate to sell it, but it is no longer practical with the lifestyle that I have. I have nothing to hide regarding this car, so call if you have any questions or are in need of more information.
