Vehicle Detail
1986 Ford F150 XLT I recently purchased this truck. The previous owner parked it 4 years ago in his barn. He said that the engine had low oil pressure when he parked it. Based on the condition of the seat, and the overall condition of the truck, I believe that 75,237 is the actual mileage. The motor is a High Output 5.8 with a 4bbl carburetor. It has a 3 speed automatic transmission. The rear axle has 3.00 gearing. I cancelled the previous listing on this truck because I had so many buyers wanting more information on the condition of the engine. I was able to get the motor to run on ether yesterday. It ran for about 15 seconds and sounded good. While it was running, the oil pressure gauge showed 45 psi (which is on the low side). I replaced the fuel pump, but was unable to get it to run on gas. Due to sitting for so long, the fuel system likely needs attention. Exterior:The bed and cab are in excellent condition, with only a few minor spots of surface rust. The driver's fender has a small rust hole just in front of the wheel. The front bumper, grill are in very good condition. The rear bumper is in very good condition. The tailgate is in good condition, but has areas with surface rust. The passenger door has a rust spot just below the top trim.Interior:The power locks and power windows are working. The top of the dash is cracked over the center speaker. The seat is in very good condition. The carpet is in very good conditionPlease bid assuming that the motor will need to be overhauled. This truck would make a great restoration project, or a great parts truck. Please message or call Philip with any questions at 618 827-FORD. On Apr-07-12 at 16:14:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: This is a 2WD truck, NOT a 4WD truck. The information that Ebay automatically filled in based on my VIN, got this information wrong. Sorry for the confusion.
