This rare Ranger supercab shortbox pickup came from a nieghbor's estate 10 miles away. His wife picked it out for her new car when it was new. It was her's until she passed, and he has cared for it since. This was in thier garage and always properly cleaned, serviced, and maintained. It starts, runs, shifts, stops, and drives very good. These pickups always did ride great. Puts my new one to shame. It is a pleasure to drive and be seen in. Brings out the gaukers. Family and friends thought the folks had the engine completely overhauled about 20,000 miles ago(total mileage is 100k plus what it is now showing), but we couldn't find the paperwork. It sounds solid and holds good oil pressure when warm. Haven't spotted any leaks under it or added fluids. Pickup is very tight. The only rattles I heard are both doors need the latch pin moved in a little. Has a rattle to the muffler. The pics pretty much show the rest. Tires are matching and just OK. Battery is Optima. Has brake control and variable pitch bull horn(Chrome pull next to brake control). Interior is nice. They were not smoker's. The pickup is shown just as it was setting in his garage when he passed. The kids didn't clean or wax and we thought you might like to see it that honest, so we just took pictures. The Cabelas Trail Gear heavy canvas seat cover is over the cracked original seat. They had someone repair rust over the rear fenders and they are showing through, as is a small spot on cab rear as shown. Except for the box sides, pickup is sporting the original paint. Looks like it would polish. Otherwise body has 35 years of small dings, dents, scratches that may or may not show up in the pics. Windshield also has some pits, no large cracks. I've put several hundred miles on it. I've found he always removed the A/C belt for winter. The compressor turns over with compression. Gauges and lights; including dashlights, work. Rear tank doesn't register, but seems to pull from it alright. Engine is 351M. Transmission should be C6 Automatic. Likes to cruise so must be good highway gears. I believe the spare, jack, and wrench are in place. Hitch ball was temporary and not included. Has power steering and brakes, Air conditioning, non-working stereo, and delayed wipers. This is a NO RESERVE sale. It won't need one. This is a rare desirable pickup in excellent unrestored condition so we are expecting between $6,000-12,000 for the unit, so please don't call with low ball offers to end the sale. We do require at least 48 hours before pickup to get unit ready to go and loading will occur between 9am and 5pm or there is $50 minimum load charge. There is not a rush to pick it up.
