Vehicle Detail

This auction is for two 1963 catalina convertibles. One has a clear title (in previous owner's name) and one is a parts car without a title. One is located on the upper side of Cincinnati (Springdale, Ohio) and one is located near Lexington, Kentucky (the parts car is in Kentucky). The buildable car is in Cincinnati and is located in a warehouse without a ramp, which means a rollback will be needed to retrieve the car from its location. I bought both cars several years ago, meaning to one day begin restoration but that day will probably never come. The buildable car needs a lot of work. The frame is shot and it has plenty of rust all around the car as you can see in the pictures. It's missing the door mirrors but other than that, is close to being complete. The windshield is cracked and the convertible top is ripped. It has the original engine and transmission and odometer says 82,000. The interior is in good condition for its age. The parts car has sat out for many, many years. The windshield is not cracked and it also has the original engine and transmission. My guess is that the engine on the parts car is locked but I've never checked. It was an ac car so that makes it a little unusual. I bought the car because I got it for a good price and I could see the windshield could be used on the buildable car. I've looked at the frame on the parts car and it appears to be in much better condition but I have not inspected it completely and I can't say it is usable. My guess is that is usable but that is my guess. The interior of the parts car is pretty much gone due to mother nature. You can take one or both cars, the decision is yours. There is no reserve on this auction and the price is set at about what I'd get to crush these cars. I'd never crush them but I want to make sure someone gets them who will appreciate them.
