Vehicle Detail

Car is inspected through December 2012. This car has been my daily driver since July of last year and Ive been getting 27.3MPG with this car! It wasnt running when I bought it and now I drive it over 1000 miles a week! Things that Ive had done over the last 8 months include: A/C receiver/dryer replaced and system charged, major service with all fluids replaced, new tires on front last month, back tires are 75% tread left, all 4 rotors and front and back brake pads replaced, new battery, new battery to started to alt wire, new serp belt, both front lower control arms and ball joints replaced, driver side hub/strut tower/strut and mounting hardware replaced, new headlights and marker/corner lights from a 1998 900 replaced, rear muffler replaced, rear engine mount replaced and front engine mount replaced. The bad about the car: isnt a show car and has some surface rust on the trunk lip, front of hood and two spots on drivers side. Heater blend motor wont work anymore. Ill have to show you the "trick" to switch it over. Hood shocks just wore out and the rear brakes are starting to chirp. I have the right hub assembly, new strut and strut mounting kit that I havent had time to put on but you will get that. This isnt a beauty but runs great. I would not hesitate to get in and drive the car anywhere in the United States. If you are looking for solid daily driver or a donar car this is perfect for you. If you are looking for a car to drive around daily or a parts car this is for you. It is Pennsylvania State Inspected through December 2012 AND has new tires. That alone is worth $500 and why my starting price is that much. I am selling this because I just bought a new Viggen. If, by chance, you have a set of SAAB OEM 17" rims with good tires I'd consider cash and trade so LMK. VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IS. I have done my best to describe this car as much as I possibly can. It is 17 years old and I drive it daily. It isn't a show car but does the job just fine. Vehicle must be picked up within 7 days of close of auction and paid in full unless other arrangements have been made with me. If you know Saabs this car's milage is low compared to how high they can get if cared for. The previous owners just didn't do a good job of it. The turbo boost is strong and solid. The transmission shifts smooth into all gears and there is no slipping or popping out of gear. Very solid mechanically under the hood the entire time I've owned it. I got 4 new tires in late July 11 and needed to get two new ones last month because the front ones wore bad because of all the front end work that nneeded done. I put rotors and pads the entire way around in early July 11 and the bad pads just started chirping. I'd say the back probably needs replaced but since I am selling the car......In Nov 11 I took the car into Sears and they told me I needed to replace both front struts, coil springs and mounting kits. I ordered the struts and kits from Eeuroparts.com and got both hub assemblies, complete for $25 each! They wouldn't sell just the coil springs and the price was so cheap why complain? I took the car to a local mechanic that I trusted because I can't do the hub nut in my garage and he says the car doesn't need all that. He says it needs new all joints and it'll be fine. So I reaplace them and have all the suspension stuff. Last month the left wheel bearing starting to go and I was lucky and had the entire hub assembly. My mechanic just put the strut and mounting kit in while he replaced that. There is NOTHING wrong with the right one but I have it to replace and I also have an extra brake caliper from the other hub assembly. I've driven this car all over the East Coast. I've had it out to Columbus Ohio, Boston, Baltimore, Philly and Pittsburgh (once a week), Virginia Beach, Norfolk, New York, Erie, etc. Just isn't anywhere I haven't taken the car in a day's time. Solid running daily driver. On Apr-05-12 at 12:39:41 PDT, seller added the following information:Forgot to mention the clutch is in great shape with no slipping or anything like that. The clutch cable was replaced last fall but I don't remember the exact date. They tested the clutch and it was good.
