Vehicle Detail
This is a great early model 1964 MGB. I have owned it for ten years and have restored much of the car over that period. I will start with the interior. It has new black leather seats with white piping. The carpet and door panels have been replaced. The dash board top surface is also new. The windshield and surrounding rubber has been replaced. The rubber and fuzzy strips on the side windows have been replaced. The right side window has a scuff along the top and a slight chip (see pics). All other glass is without chips, cracks, etc. All guages and lights work with the exception of the gas guage. It has new brakes all around, new shock absorbers, rebuilt starter, monza exhaust system, oil cooler, webur carb. Tires (Nankang) are like new with new chrome-spoked wheels and new chrome knock-off hubs. The previous owner told me he had the engine and transmission rebuilt, but I have no documentation on this. I have driven the car very little in the pat ten years but it starts, shifts and runs great. I have had the starter shaft hang up in the flywheel a couple times, but no other problems. I replaced the chrome grill and side chrome trim with new parts. The hood is new (steel) but I have the original (aluminum) to go with the car. (A friend gave me the steel hood, so I put it on). All other body parts are orignal. The paint is about six years old. There are some flaws and scratches (see pics). I have a fiberglass top made by Snugtop, Long Beach, CA. I am including the gframes and front piece (see pics) for a canvas fold-up top. I do not have the canvas. The car has no rust other than surface in the trunk (see pics). It has always been in Oregon or Idaho. I expect a minimum $500 deposit within 3 days of end of auction and all, if any, remaining funds before any transportation takes place. I will leave it up to the buyer to provide transportation. My zipcode is 83712, Boise, Idaho. I have set a low reserve in hopes of selling the car. If you have any questions please contact me.
