Been wanting to fulfill your VW Van road trip dreams? Our beloved "house-car" has been great for family vacations and camping trips. With two beds and table it is great for picnics, camping, road trips, tailgating, but not so crowded with equipment when you need van to haul lots of people or stuff. Lots of room in rear lower compartments for gear. This vehicle is in good mechanical condition - the engine and drive train are excellent. It has had regular tuneups and synthetic oil changes (just had both done including transmission fluid flush & fill). It was purchased in Seattle, WA from the second owner who kept all the service records (as we have, as well). Being an older car fluids need to be checked often between servicing in warm/hot weather or on long trips because it burns fluids. Very safe feeling -handles well and drives smoothly. Gets good gas mileage for a heavy car especially if you accelerate slowly and coast to stops. There is no through rust. Some of the recent major mechanical repairs include a rebuilt transmission, new ball joints and tie-end rods with front-end alignment, repairs to exhaust system and clean up of body paint and couple rust spots. Interior upholstery and pop-top tent has no rips or stains. Mechanicals on tent excellent & no holes or tears. Added insulation to make sleeping warmer. We have all the curtains, floor mats, and rear bug screen cover. Has truck tires with wear left. Only issues are cosmetic or convenience. The front windshield has a small crack in the center, few small dents. Air conditioning works, but is not charged with refrigerant. Interior light bulbs in rear out, seat belt for removable chair engages but does not retract automatically (has to be done manually), and couple cup holders broken. 220,000 miles.
