Vehicle Detail
This is a really fun little car to drive. It is more of a daily driver than a show quality car, however, this would be a great place to start for a total restoration. It has very little rust, nowhere near the typical east coast rust. Its in very good condition for a car thats almost 30yrs old. It does have dings scuffs and scrapes. The gas guage dosnt work. The gas tank leaks so you cant put more than about 4 gallons in it at a time. The baffle in the tank is also shot, so when it gets low on gas, and you corner firmly to the right it cuts out for a second, that how I know its time to buy more gas. I am handicapped, so I dont go far, so I cant gaurantee how it will take very long drives. I only drive it once a week, usually, to the local mini-mart. If you are planning on taking a long way home ,I would consider towing it, but I dont see a real problem, as long as you stop for gas regularly. The spots you see on the car, in the photos, is ree sap, I will try to take care of that before it sells. The interior is in great shape except the headliner is sagging, and the shift boot has a split in it. The "buy it now" price is very fair considering the the shape of this vehicle. My feedback speaks for itself, so you dont have to deal with someone with no, or just a few feedback scores. Feel free to ask any questions, just please do so with enough time for me to get back to you before the auction ends (dont wait til the last minute). If you would like a picture of a specific part, or area, just ask, and I will do my best to get it for you. Thank you, Good luck, and Happy Easter. On Apr-01-12 at 20:09:15 PDT, seller added the following information: You will go a long Way to find any rabit of this age, in this condition, especially here in the northeast!!! The car is for sale locally , so I will end the auction early, if It sells, before the end of the auction. On Apr-02-12 at 19:44:41 PDT, seller added the following information: The "buy it now price" is $3500. NADA yellowbook list this car with an average retail price of $3150. This car is well above average condition. I highly doubt you could find one of this year, with as solid of a body as this one has, that is a daily driver, anywhere in the northeast. I have no problem keeping it, it is a very good dependable, economical little car!!! It does have air, as soon as I can I will check and see how cold it blows, it may need recharging, but I highly doubt it will need more than that.On Apr-03-12 at 08:32:53 PDT, seller added the following information: According to the sticker on the underside of the hood, the engine is a 1.8L, NOT a 1.7L sorry for any confusion this may have caused. On Apr-07-12 at 20:52:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added pics of all the rust I found on the car, the worst of it is on the rear lower vallance. The car was undercoated, so underneath, and strut towers are still rock solid. If the bid doesnt go high enough I will end the auction and just keep it. The only reason I am trying to sell it is to buy a vehicle I like that a friend has for sale, If I cant buy that, then I have no reason to sell this.
