PLEASE LEAVE TIME TO COME DOWN & VISIT FT.LAUDERDALE TO SEE ALL OF OUR GREAT CARS & ALSO THE BEST SELECTION OF VINTAGE GUITARS IN THE SOUTH !     Special Edition consists of a group of cosmetic appointments that really makes the SE car stand out compared to a standard Trans Am. 1976 was the first year for Special Editions, In 1976, Pontiac would celebrate its 50th anniversary, and very few Y82's were built (therefore, considered rare). In 1977, the Smokey and the Bandit movie was released, and it featured a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition making the 1977 Trans Am an instant hit. Pontiac did not stamp the Y82 code on the cowl tags, but there are some tips to help identify a genuine SE. All Y82 Trans Ams had black exterior (cowl tag must show 19L 19U), they all had gold Bird decals, German-style lettering, gold pinstripes all around, and gold front grilles. The interior was not necessarily black (we have seen and restored SE's with tan, red and white interiors). All SE's came with gold swirled dash bezel and gold spokes on the steering wheel. Most of them had Deluxe interior, but there are exceptions (we have seen many with standard interior). 1977 Special Editions came with 15 x 7 snowflake rims with gold painted inserts (1976 came with gold polycast honeycomb rims). All Y82's came with Hurst T-tops in 1976 and 1977. This rare example is an excellent TA having all of thses importent "Y82" features from new. It has 70K miles which is believed to be original. It comes w/a full Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) report. It has all of the power features & cold factory A/C. Most importently it is an original "SE" Bandit Edition w/a Hurst 4 Spd... one of the most desirable Muscle Cars on the Planet !!     I am representing this gorgeous Ford. I can personally answer all questions. Please take note...we need a $2500. deposit within 48 hours of making a deal. The winner then must come inspect the car in person or have a representitive come do the same within 14 days if he chooses. If the winner doesn't come in person to inspect the car & takes our word on it's originality & condition, we're sure they will be very happy w/the results once it gets delivered to the new owner. Our limited free time & tight work schedules these days don't allow much spare time to fly all over the Country to see 1 or 2 cars in person. Most of our clients take our word on it's overall condition. For any reason if the winner wants to cancel this deal do to misrepresentation of this car in any way, then he can walk away & get his deposit back. If in fact there is no misrepresentation, then if the winner still wants to walk away, he loses only his $2500.deposit.
